Divorce and move on. You've got a green card. Your spouse can't take that away from you.

When your divorce is finalized you can apply to have the conditions removed.

*Moved from Adjustment of Status-Work, Student, Tourist forum to Effects of Major Changes forum*

But we have been married for so little 5 months and we really don't have that much other than lease "lease includes all utilities"-in our name rent receipt in our name Heath insurance documents and cards in our names personal account and debit cards in our name business account and debit cards in our names AND the business that we open .. All of the corporation papers stating we are owners of business and IRS and Tax papers for company with company name... some photos junk mails.. And cable Internet bill in our name ....

George, since you already have your GC, it is unlikely that you will be deported. As others have said, all you need to do now is to ROC after your divorce, if you get divorced. You should not wait for two years to ROC, you should do it immediately after the divorce is final. You will need to prove that you entered the marriage in good faith for which the documents that you have seem good enough.

Also, as someone else said, blackmailing you in exchange for immigration benefits is felony, but it is upto you if you wish to pursue that against your wife.

Relax, nobody is going to deport you!

You have what you have. What's needed is proof that you entered into the marriage legitimately, not to get a green card. Gather up all the proof that the relationship was real. Some marriages work. Others don't.

George, I don't think you have anything to worry about. I think you have more than enough information to prove that your marriage is/was bonafide. my thoughts to you at this point is to let her go. I know it seems harsh and mean but it's the best thing that you can do. Time heals all wounds. I know you are devastated right now, but it will all be ok. Don't pay her any amount of money. Love shouldn't be bought or sold. Move ahead with a divorce. I have the name of a lawyer if you are in NYC. I recommned you get one as you have a business together and you should be protected during this time.

Then go ahead and file ROC without her. Good Luck.

Where did the OP say he was a LPR since he was 12? You are not reading this properly. Since his GC has already been adjudicated, I guess the question of whether he entered legally or not is no longer relevant. Just saying.

He didn't say he was LPR since 12. He said he came here since he was 12. Probably has been out of status since then. He became LPR through AOS.

OP, your situation is not that critical or unusual as you may think now.

You can divorce your wife (or better have her start the divorce) and file for ROC. All you need is evidence that you entered the marriage in good faith. That includes evidence from the time before the marriage. Just gather everything you can get your hands on.

Is your wife trying to get money from you because she feels she helped you to remain legal in the USA to the point where she thinks you owe her?

At this point, there is nothing she can legal do to you, you have your GC and that's it. Unless there is some kind of evidence that this marriage was somewhat arranged to secure your immigrant status....!?

For now, take a deep breath!:)
