:crying: Hubby called DOS on wednesday and they told him that my packet-3 had been received dated 09/27/06 and they had also received my medical results and IV-15 checklist.

Today i get an email from the embassy stating they can confirm receipt of my medical results and checklist but have no record of ever having received my DS-156, DS-156K and DS-230-1 :crying: So, i email the embassy back stating they were sent on 27th september by recorded delivery and stamped the receipt on 2nd october, which i can track using the tracker number associated with that delivery. I scanned the "Proof of Delivery Receipt" which i have in my possession and attached it to an email back to the embassy.

I also downloaded and filled in the forms AGAIN!!! ran to the post office and sent them Special Delivery(next day) with a letter attached stating why i re-sent them. :(

Could this merely be because the embassy just hasnt put them on the system yet?? OR did they lose them after they received them????

I feel really p*ssed off at this at point, now we will probably be setback a further 3 weeks due to this fiasco :(

What should i do next??

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Maria.

It took 5 weeks for them to action my pack 3 paperwork.

I would wait a little while longer - when you e-mail them they would probably advise you to wait until 6 weeks after the date it was sent and then - e-mail them again for next action.

ICE2005

They never even advised me about waiting a few more weeks, just that they had NO record of ever receiving them. which i find very odd.

Its confusing enough, when DOS says they they were received and the embassy said they havent!!! received them at all!!

Hubby is calling DOS again now, to find out why we are getting conflicting answers.

Thanks for your help

I think that DOS has more up to date info than the telephone line covering London (based in Scotland! Confused?)

The UK line has very limited info.

I was advised to wait the 6 weeks by email from Londonconsular.

I know what you mean, you dont expect to hear scottish accents when calling the embassy LOL

Although i have re-sent my packet-3 today, and that hubby is calling DOS for further information, as you said DOS has more up-to-date info, so whatever they tell him today, i think we should just go by what they tell him and dis-regard what i'm being told by email from the embassy information thingy. hehe...they dont seem to know their butts from their elbows anyhow.

Here's hoping what was told to my hubby on wedneday still stands as with regards to packet-3, checklist and medical results!!

Probably just a case of ...."wires crossed" and all that

Thanks again

Hello MariaDane,

I'm really sorry to hear that you're having to contend with all this confusion! :(

The info line has given us contradicting information within the same 10 mins! so hopefully the DOS provide you some accuracy.

How did you're medical get scheduled if they didnt receive you Packet 3?

Isnt it Packet 3 that prompts the scheduling of the medical?

Sorry if thats sounds uninformed - but we never recieved our Packet 3 if you remember.

Good luck! hopefully this is just missinformation for you have to deal with.

No, the scheduling of the medical is done by you after you have received packet 3. It's nothing to do with the embassy receiving your forms.

Thats right mags, i got Packet-3 a few days later than i should have, medical went well too

Hubby called DOS, they do have my paperwork except they are waiting for the so-called forms for my 2 kids  Hubby and I made the mistake of including them on the I.129F petition, coz we thot that if we didnt disclose that i have 2 kids then we would have been in BIG trouble with Immigration. Seems that is not that case grrrrrrrrrrr they need to amend their friggen forms so that it says...List all children that you have/spouse has IF accompanying applicant to the US.

Now i've had to send an email to the Embassy (probably wont get a reply for about a week!!!!!!!) asking them to amend my application and to REMOVE my kids from it :hehe: So rather than wait, i've done a letter to send right to the Immigrant Visa Unit at the Embassy asking them to amend it.

My kids arent kids as such, they are 18 and 19 yrs old, plus their dad has had custody of them since 1993

So, here's hoping they just amend it and process my damn application before i go bananas. I was so damn worried today that i gave myself a migraine, tried to eat dinner and ended up pukin instead. Which is NOT good for the stress levels which are quite high as it is. I even included in the envelope with the letter to the Embassy my.........""Electronic Proof of Delivery Notice"" so lets see them try to wangle out of this one, yeah them sayin..."Oh, we have no record that the forms were ever received"

I might be scottish but i am certainly NOT DAFT :P:goofy:

Fingers crossed this time :bonk:

You could try this number on Monday

0207 589 8965 - This is the number for Kinghtsbridge Doctors - Basil Mansions

Give them your case number and explain that you have had your pack 3.

They should either assist or give you a different telephone number.

Hope this helps

You should get your P3 any day. And if you email the embassy they won't respond as you are within their 8-12 week timeline.

Thanks MariaDane, ICE2005 and Mags.

Is there anything from Packet 3 that is needed to schedule or even take to the interview? (As we do not have the Packet)

I've seen mention of a medical questionaire being taken to interviews. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8321

Is there any chance anyone has a copy of the Medical Isntructions from Packet 3 ?

Thanks so much !
