Hi Everyone,

I'm basically almost finished with getting together my petition for the fiance visa and just doing the last few things and waiting to fill the forms out till last minute so no new ones get released ....I have a question about question #18 about under the circumstances in which my fiance and I have met within two years. Being my fiance and I have been together for a little over 5 years now, since we were 14 and 15 I was wondering if it would be a good idea to add in on how me met and when we started dating and so on. Along with the two times i have visited which one time was for just 5 months and this time in which I'm currently with him now which is more time than the last visit.

Would question number 18 be a good spot in which i should add in the background info on us or should i put that in a separate page and attach it in the proof of relationship and leave question 18 with a response how we've seen each other both times.

Also how in debt do i go when explaining under the circumstances in which we've seen each other during the visits. What kind of information are they looking for?

Thanks in Advance :)

They only want to know how you met in the last 2 years. You do not have to go into excessive detail.

I have been dating X for 5 years, since xxx. The last time we were together was X date where I stayed for X amount of time.

There are two different processes going on here. The K-1 petition wants to know that you have met within the last 2 years. You can establish this by using boarding passes and passport stamps and pics. However, for the embassy you need to show that you have an established relationship. This info can included in your petition which is know as frontloading or it can be brought to the interview. This can include all info about your relationship that you want to include.

I went into how we met for the first time and then after, but I made sure it didnt pass more than a page long. Like xanax said, they really want how you meet within the last 2 years, but for me our first time meeting was within that 2 year span, so it worked out for me.
