can i travel to different states while waiting for my green card?

pretty simple question really, can i take a flight from texas to Florida and then back ? Ill be using my UK passport as ID ofcourse but what do i have to show at passport control if anything ? Thanks in advance for all help.

NOA1 notice date 02/03/12

sure. yu ca travel within the continetal united states. Under the commerce law, free movememtn of people goods and services are allowed without even having to pay taxes. so u can travel. u only need a state id to travel not a passport

Yes, you can travel on your UK passport, they probably won't even ask about it. If they do, direct them to the I94 in your passport.

There is no passport control on domestic flights. You just get off the plane, get your luggage, and walk out of the airport. Only flights arriving from a foreign country go through the immigration hall.

There is no passport control on domestic flights. You just get off the plane, get your luggage, and walk out of the airport. Only flights arriving from a foreign country go through the immigration hall.

You will need some form of identification though. Usually a drivers license or a state id. Your passport should be fine too.

I've never shown ID to get off the plane or leave the airport on a domestic flight.

Yeah, I think the poster meant for the purposes of getting on the plane (i.e. through security and to check against your ticket that you are who you say you are). Other than that, you're free to roam!

Total elapsed time between filing I-129F to GC in hand 569 days or 1 Year, 6 months, 22 days.
