Oh look, another moonbat freak who doesn't understand what the guns are truly supposed to be for.

Again, the JEWS weren't afraid of their government. They thought it could do nothing wrong. Sheep for the slaughter is what they became.

Those who forget history, are doomed to repeat history. It's why history always repeats itself in one way or another.

Sorry, I am talking about hardcore "real" preppers. If you have a couple weeks or even months of canned food that's not a doomsday prepper.

I am speaking of the ones that have 1 year of food or more and their home doubles as an armed military base.

They expect a complete collapse where there is no food in grocery stories, currency goes to 0, and no more energy for transportation/heating homes/etc. No electricity and the power grid is turned off.

A complete shutdown where "people that are unprepared" are going to come to their military base / house to invade their food supply.

And the nuts will have trip wires, explosives, and a team of like-minded preppers with ARs to "deal with" (kill) the invaders.

That'd be me.

Okay, let's compare.

USA: 320MM people and roughly 10K gun deaths a year

Germany: 80MM people and roughly 200 gun deaths a year

So, the US has 4 times the population of Germany but 50 times the gun deaths. On the same scale as Germany, we would see 800 gun deaths a year - less than 10% of what we're seeing.

Now what?

Are you counting all those deaths Germany was responsible for in the last 100 years?

I love how Europeans always talk about how safe their countries are (in terms of gun deaths) but never put that little asterisk next to their figures that includes all the deaths they've had in the wars there. Can you even imagine how different those numbers would be if everyone was armed? Kind of hard to exterminate armed people.

For a good comparison of gun deaths in Europe - including war - in the last 100 years, check out Switzerland.

What.

How do you explain this then? Louisiana has some of the most relaxed gun laws, and has very similar statistics to Illinois.

Louisiana, like Illinois (and DC), is full of felons and violent crime. If you were to exclude the major urban areas of both states, you'd see relative peace and harmony. Same with Michigan, California, and even Delaware!

Since felons have already proven they don't mind breaking the law, passing more gun control laws is useless. Hence, felons obtain guns and use them in the commission of felonies regardless of the presence of laws.

People like you, kennard, will just never get it. Nobody's saying take away all the guns. No need to keep posting random stories about when guns actually helped a situation. We get it. Guns have their uses. Nobody's arguing as much.

It's a shame you communicate mostly in pictures that you find on politifake.org, though. Aren't there enough picture posting threads to keep you entertained?

You will never convince people of this when new regulations are created. I think most US gun owners are aware of the process the UK used to slowly kill gun ownership.

I see you didn't like the apples to apples comparison so now you want to lower the bar for the US. If only we can claim fewer gun deaths here in peace time than the old continent can claim during a century that saw two world wars devastate it we're in good shape. Talk about comparing apples and oranges.

Do you really think it's fair to exclude all those deaths?

America didn't have those. We have a lot more now in peace time but we're still millions and millions and millions of gun-related deaths behind Germany since our government can't operate unchecked by it's armed citizens.
