What she said or thinks, may not fit the mold of what the moral police deem to be "politically correct" but it is within her right to say so and she should be free of political persecution as well. I don't know why they booted her? To stifle free speech? To quell dissenting political views?

That being said, her comments could be construed as insensitive. Same as any comments about: blondes, Greeks, Americans, Polish, Catholics, Muslims, Jews, the rich, the poor, etc, etc.

We have West Nile Virus here too, it's not that big of a deal. They spray for it once a week or so; where ever positive samples are found.

I'd give her a 7 out of 10 compared to what I have seen over there. :P

She is stunning!

She should have kept her thoughts to herself though until after the games. It's not like she didn't know the rules before hand even though it does seem like a cheap shot with her getting the boot.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

You are confusing the American freedom of speech with what the rest of the world deems is freedom of speech. Making racist comments is not freedom of speech, it is inciting racial hatred. Only America doesn't see it this way.

Agreed. Maybe she can take up modelling instead.

That was a funny joke.

And why is it racist? She said "Africans." I didn't see anything at all about race in that joke. Is "African" a race now?

Let's see - what could the joke mean?

My country is full of foreign immigrants.

The immigrants in my country spread disease.

It hardly needs a literary analysis, we're not talking about particularly sophisticated humour.

It's the same old 'immigrants stealing our jobs, filthying our towns and cities' you hear a lot from disaffected and disenfranchised neo-nationalists.
