after the ds-230 part 1 form, how long until the interview?

Hello,

I am a citizen and currently living in the US, as are both of my parents (both naturalized), and my siblings. My aunt and her husband and son are immigrating to America. We (my family in the US) just got the DS-230 part 1 form. I'm a little confused-- are we supposed to fill it out? The immigration lawyer sent it to us, but I read that you're supposed to send it to the family waiting for the forms? (in this case, my aunt in China).

Also, what's the next step after the DS-230 Part 1? And, how long does it take until the interview? Their closest embassy is in Guangzhou, China.

what fees have been paid to NVC ?

and

what basis for visa do they have, and what visa are they pursuing?

Does 'the attorney' know anything about NVC Electronic Processing for casefiles headed to Guangzhou Immigrant Visa Unit ??
