Not really - since the 2nd amendment apparently doesn't apply in NYC. Guns are already illegal.

well heck, why do they need a police force then if guns are illegal? convert them all to meter maids!

Bloomberg walks around with an entourage of armed guards. I wonder if he's "released them" already?

I totally agree with him. Get rid of the police and let Americans take care of themselves. We waste way too much money on our legal system already and the police are the starting point of that waste. Get rid of cops.

I should add - an elected sheriff and deputies would still be fine. Just no police force.

Lol NYPD has been in hot water for conducting surveillance outside their jurisdiction.

NYPD is anyway out of control organization, maybe mayor can start from there and than ban coke, next might be chips.

I'm horrified they're able to bring down a jet liner. That is not a power the police should have.

My wife recently flew into NYC and I worried for her safety. I'm amazed people still live in New York City.
