my fiance have been contacting them but they are not giving him definite answer.. we asked them to send another copy of the receipt but they said they wont because we already have the receipt number..

we have the receipt number.. my fiance called and they gave it to him.. that was may 11th and told him they have mailed the receipt but till now my fiance doesnt have it.. we use money order.. my fiance dunno if they have cashed it out or not.. is there a way to track it? is it also possible they gave him a wrong receipt number? errr.. im being paranoid.. lol

okay its getting clear now.yes you can track the money order.your fiance should have the small part of the money order receipt,I hope he didn't forget to cut it and send it as is,

as long as you have a receipt number you can call them any time and check about your case,when you call them you should provide them the receipt number and the names too,if they match then you are fine to go,

the NOA1 its not that important to have it,its just a receipt that prove the USCIS has received your petition,the important thing now you need to make sure that the USCIS have the correct address.

maybe the post man did a mistake and delivered the letter to anther address,

Try to check your status using the receipt no. given to your fiance in this website www.uscis.gov. If its working then the receipt no.is correct.

But you should ask for a hardcopy of NOA1.

the NOA1 its not that important,

i can check some one else status by changing one number of my receipt number.

she has to call them and make sure that the receipt number she has,has there names and address on it ,

its the only way to find out,I believe the post man deliver there letter to some one else.

the same thing happened to me, but my packet was misplaced by the USPS and never got a NOA1. I called the USPS and they found it with a tracking number and delivered it 3 months later. on top of that I never got a NOA1, but i got a email and text message saying they recieved it. The email had our case number in it and a website that I can follow up with its progress. To be sure it was mine , I called them and told them to verfiy my information, and they did. The hard copy of the NOA1 is not important, as long as you have the case number you will be fine.
