If I made some claims that I might act as a super-hero in that moment ... you might have a point but what we are talking about is supposing we might act in an "instinctive" and typical manner... which is to help those we care about.

Just my opinion but me sticking my neck out to save my own child is not really a hero.

To me a hero is someone who goes beyond what would be expected at great risk to ones self typically in the interest of another.

It seems everyone is a hero today.

Cops-hero

Fireman- hero

School teacher-hero

Cubscout leader-hero

Cable guy-hero

Me risking my life to save my own kid should only makes me a hero in my own kids eyes.
