So he may have did something(get amnesty) that was available to him and he possibly took advantage of it. Not sure how any voter having that knowledge, would still decide to vote for Obama, if their mind is already made up to vote against him. Likewise any Obama supporters, not sure how if all this fluff is found out to be about nothing, how you would then go pull the lever for Romney. It's much ado about nothing. Birth certs, tax returns, college transcripts...all BS. There's another thread about intel leaks, that's receiving little activity, because no one cares if this administration is leaking info, they care more about Romney's tax returns, rather than holding the current admin accountable for what's going on today.

The electorate is fickle. It's not like all voters are decided one way or the other. Many and perhaps even most certainly are but there's that mass of voters out there that will eventually decide the election. And to those - and even to some that support Mitt today - it might matter whether Mitt illegally evaded taxes and benefitted from a tax amnesty back in 2009. Either way, a candidate for the highest office owes that disclosure.

I see. No standards required for liberals. Purity test required for conservatives.

Live by the sword, die by the sword.

I thought that Romney was running on being the opposite of Obama. His constituents and his campaign has been keen on trying to portray him as better prepared to be POTUS than Obama. There are people who actually believe he is different than Obama, although so far, his antics and that of the POTUS' are the same.

OK, it is pure speculation.

It's more than pure speculation. There are red flags in what financial reporting he has made available. Try to read the article. Now, there's no evidence to support or negate the suspicion raised here. It's Mitt who is sitting on the evidence that could debunk this - or support it. He's not revealing that evidence. The question is why?

So, are you excusing Obama, but holding Romney to a higher standard. I see.

I am excusing neither.

I am just voicing my disappointment at the GOP for coming up with a candidate that really offers no improvement over the incumbent. After all that was said about Obama, I had high hopes the GOP would come up with a stellar candidate. As it turns out, mediocrity is all they have on the menu.

And you can honestly say you would even consider a Republican candidate over a failed Obama presidency. Right.

Who is excusing Obama? His tax returns are readily available and have been for some time.

And his military records -- wait, he didn't serve

And his school records -- where are his school records?

You should, but as it stands, you can only choose between two when they are different.

My disappointment is that it seems you will not have the choice to consider a Republican candiate over a failed Obama presidency because they are both the same.

If that is true, then Romney has nothing to fear. I suspect, however, that Romney releasing a 2009 tax return that reveals that he applied for and benefitted from an amnesty provision in regards to previously undisclosed foreign accounts might upset a few non obama minions whose support the good governor would like to have.

he has nothing to fear or gain. the minions will vote for obama regardless of what romney does. the romney supporters will vote for romney. the non minions will vote for the candidate they feel is the better choice.

If it takes an amnesty then by definition laws were broken. You do know what an amnesty is, yes?

yes. its what obama keeps granting his illegal alien relatives when they get caught.

So, we are really in a very bad place; when Romney supporters start acting as minions.

if they were to start....yes. its sad watching people show blind support for a candidate that has done nothing but attempt to divide & demonize the people he claims to represent.

With so many people defending Romney's actions, it is becoming apparent it has already started.
