I HAPPENED TO STUMBLE UPON THIS SITE TODAY...AND I AM TRULY THANKING GOD...THIS IS A BLESSING INDEED. I AM SO LOST AND MISSING HIM SO MUCH. I FILED THE I129F VISA APPLICATION FOR MY FIANCEE DECEMBER 12, 2011. I RECEIVED A NOTICE STATING THAT THE CASE WOULD BE PROCESSED AT THE VERMONT SERVICE CENTER. MAY 7, 2012, I RECEIVED A RFE AND I FORWARDED THAT INFORMATION TO THEM OVER NIGHT. JUNE 28, 2012 THE DAY AFTER THE ANNIVERSARY OF OUR FIRST MEETING, I RECEIVED A NOTICE STATING THAT THE APPLICATION HAD BEEN APPROVED. I HAVENT HEARD ANYTHING FROM THE NVC AS OF YET. SO ON YESTERDAY, JULY 23, 2012 I CONTACTED THEM AND WAS TOLD THAT THE CASE NEEDED ADDITIONAL PROCESSING AND I JUST NEED TO WAIT. I ASKED WHAT KIND OF PROCESSING AND I WAS TOLD AGAIN THAT I JUST NEED TO WAIT. HOW LONG DOES IT NORMALLY TAKE TO HEAR FROM THE NVC REGARDING A K1 VISA? WE WANT TO PLAN OUR WEDDING BUT IT IS HARD WHEN WE HAVE NOTHING DEFINITE. AT FIRST I WAS THINKING THAT IT WOULD TAKE 5 MONTHS AFTER I FILED THE INITIAL PETITION. BUT NOW IM BEING TOLD THAT THE TIME COULD BE INDEFINITE. THIS HAS REALLY MADE ME SAD. HE IS MORE OPTIMISTIC. HE KEEPS TRYING TO CHEER ME UP BY SAYING..."NOTHING BEFORE TIME, MAMA. PAPA SOON COME." I USUALLY VISIT EVERY 6 TO 8 WEEKS BUT WAS PUTTING IT ON HOLD BECAUSE WE THOUGHT HE WOULD BE HERE SOON. PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME ENCOURAGING NEWS.

Well good news is it got to NVC they have to just do s few things since you are a fiance petition its pretty fast .Somewhere between June 28 and July 23 your case arrived. Consider yourself lucky. They should have told you the case received date at least. Since they said adiitional processing hmmm.

I gather you didn't ask for case# you shoudld call them and request when was your receive date and what is your case#. call them now. When you give case# you should be giving them your email addresses also for petitioner and beneficiary.

You are correct. They asked for the email information and updated phone numbers. I didn't ask for a case number. But I will follow your advice and call them again to request that information. I just got so nervous and I didn't want to upset anyone. Thank you for your response. This does make me feel a little better.

I called them twice and that last call was the best. They gave me my case number and informed me that our packet had been sent to the consular. Now we will wait to hear from them. So I will just keep on praying. I know he will be here soon.

Took your advice and called them back. They had good news. They gave me my case number and told me that the information had been sent to the consular on yesterday. Thank you for the suggestion. GOD bless you and yours.
