Do i need to fill out the I-131 form for AOS?

No, but I urge you to do so. Why? Because it is 1) free, and 2) you may never know when you would need it. There are too many stories on this board of the immigrant's parent or relative becoming deathly ill back home, and had they applied for AP, it would be approved and they could visit. But, since they did not apply for AP, they cannot go.

No, but I urge you to do so. Why? Because it is 1) free, and 2) you may never know when you would need it. There are too many stories on this board of the immigrant's parent or relative becoming deathly ill back home, and had they applied for AP, it would be approved and they could visit. But, since they did not apply for AP, they cannot go.

Can I send the same affidavit support i used for my k-1 visa or i have to have a new one to send with AOS?

question for this part...

On the actual I-131 it asks for the dates of intended departure and the expected length of trip. If we don't have any 'curent' intention to travel before she receives the AP and we certainly don't know what dates are expected, do we just fill these out with N/A? Part 4 also asks for information regarding your proposed travel...?

What about if we turned in the I-485 and I-765 in July but didn't send an I-131 request yet. BUT the other two haven't been approved yet. can I fill it in and send it now and it would become part of my package?

From K1 submission to US Citizenship- 2 years, 1 month and 2 days!

K-1 Process
• 6 MAR 2012 - I-129F packet sent via FedEx overnight •

• 7 MAR 2012 - Packet received Dallas, Texas
• 12 MAR 2012 - NOA1 (Notice by Email: routed to the CSC)
• 15 MAR 2012 - NOA1 (received Official Receipt Notice (Form I-797))
• 12 JUN 2012 - NOA2 (Notice by text message and Email)
• 23 MAR 2012 - NVC received/forwarded approved I-129F
• 25 April 2012 - Interview and Visa Approved!
• 27 APR 2012 - Collected Visa at Embassy
• 29 MAY 2012 - Arrival in US after two weeks holiday together!
*It took 46 days from NOA1 to Visa pick-up and we received our NOA2 two weeks AFTER her arrival in States!

AOS Process

• 26 MAR 2013 - Email Notice that AP was approved

Nevermind on the second part as I don't need to pay the fee and can send in the AP request at any time as long as I show the 797 NOA receipt of I-485.

BUT the first part I'm still unsure. Do all of you just apply for the AP just in case, and you don't fill in dates?
