Dear VJers,

We have been waiting 4 month+ since NOA1,, from the beginning we check the status updates every day, until now once a week,, we are waiting, trying to be patient, and not think about it...

This afternoon I was just cleaning up my inbox. 4 month ago I scanned all the application docs to a PDF file as backup. So today I opened it and read through it and I found out that we made a mistake there!!!!

There is a field on I129F form, called "she/her last arrived as (visitor, student, etc) in the US (only applicable if the beneficiary is INSIDE USA at the time of filing) well we didn't notice the condition, instead we put a date of my last visit there (which was last X-mas for a week 23-30Dec in Connecticut) And I have been in the Netherlands since New Years Eve 2011.

OMG i can't imagine how big or small this issue is. Can you give some advice? is there a way to change this? Does it mean I have to re-submit a petition or can I just make changes on the existing one... or is it worth to change at all??? and moreover, how to request changes made to my application forms? I have no clue!!!I am so speechless now...we read through the form 3-4 times for sent it out... OMG

Thanks a lot,,,

So frustrated now.

Best regards,

Viv

Well lets not imagine an RFE(request for evidence) if none is asked for. If you do get letter to correct this than do. Have a new I-129F at the ready in case so you can get that baby off ASAP. I would think that they will just assume by what you marked you are now in US. If asked at interview just hand them an updated form. It should be fine either way. Now Breathe (F)

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.

Please Please put your VJ member name only. Not nicknames or real names whatever your VJ name is. It's below your profile picture!!

Breathe IN....Breathe OUT

It shouldn't be an issue. If anything, they'll figure out it was a mistake. An issue on that form would be an unchecked box, incorrect sensitive information (names, DOB, etc).

Relax..

Unfortunately the rule of thumb is you have to wait until they request information form you. Think all those papers and such all over and who knows who has your case. So if they were to send you a letter you would send the required information and the letter so they can keep it all together. I don't see an issue really. Because its a wrong information situation but not a dishonest one. They don't know you are here or there or anywhere. So just hold on. (I know easier said than done).

I would however USCIS tell them what you did and ask them can you send an updated form.. See what they advise. Edited by dwheels76

Don't stress too much about it. We are human and tend to make mistakes from time to time, and its normal. The adjudicators understand that, therefore if there is something missing that they can't fix themselves, they will just send an RFE for it.
