Hello all. I just filled my k-1 petition in June so I know I have a very long wait. My question is does anyone really know what the issues are in Vermont? I have read most of the threads here and see all the stress and complaining about long waits and uncertainty but really haven't seen any explanations of why things are so slow there.

I do understand the VJ members are just a small fraction of the population that are trying to get visas for loved ones but what I don't understand is how and why it seems that the VSC is getting more petitions each day and unable to at least keep up with the incoming petitions. For example, according to this list http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=2&option=2&sortby=2 there are about 615 VJ members ahead of me but only 2 weeks ago there were only 570. I know this means that more members have joined the site with noa1 dates ahead of mine and I realize that some of the names on this list have not updated their timelines. Is this normal for this time of the year or does this probably mean that those of us just filling are looking at 7-8 months or longer from noa1 to noa2? Any help understanding what is really going on would be helpfull.

Seem like they are "backed logged"... At one point VSC was working really fast and knocking out petition now seems like CSC is the one working quicker. I guess each service center is like a rolling coaster with its ups and downs, one year one is working faster while one is working slower. "WE" can't exactly say why are they taking so long, but all i can say is hang in there cause it will be a long and bumpy ride, for most of us fliers. Normal processing time is 5 Month seem like now is looking at 6month maybe more... who know... Good Luck to us waiting at VSC... is just a matter of patience, luck, and waiting until your time...

From what this VSC newsletter points out, it doesn't help that a) there are a lot of RFEs and b) people are sending items either before they receive an RFE, or aren't including the RFE coversheet, so it's slowing them down. http://www.aila.org/content/default.aspx?docid=40032

Hi there, We have a similar timeline!!! still waiting. The VJ estimation for me is end of Aug...As if!!!

BTW i have a question :help: ... in your signature that you have submitted correction with "type error" & "change of address" and both been accepted by Vermont SC. This afternoon I just reviewed my form in PDF and I found out that we made a mistake there!!!! :(

There is a field called When was your finacee last entered the US (only applicable if the beneficiary was INSIDE USA at the time of filing) well we didn't notice the condition, instead we put a date of my last visit there (which was last X-mas for a week)

OMG i can't imagine how big or small this could of be. Can you give some advice? In what way did you applied for correction of your application?

Thanks a lot,,,

So frustrated now.

Best regards,

Viv

Hi Viv,

The correction I had to make was on the NoA1. They misspelled my fiance's name. I had them correct it. Then I had to send in a change of address form online. For you, was your fiance in the US when you filed?
