Chris Christie imposes draconian alternative energy mandate on New Jersey utilities

The main result achieved with this mandate is higher energy costs, i.e higher cost of living and doing business. Is that desirable?

Do you live in Jersey? Evidently, the legislature and governor think this is a very pragmatic solution, as opposed to investing in failing companies that failed anyways.

I don't live in NJ. Thank God. But I get it. Christie and the commie legislature in the state believe that distorting the free market and robbing residents and businesses in New Jersey of their money to support non-competitive products is practical. Good. Then I just don't understand what all the fuzz is about with mandating the purchase of products from private enterprise - to make it worse, non-competitive products in this case.
