I'm 24 March 2011. Still waiting.

09/09/2009 met and had been happily dating for almost a year when my husband (bf at that time) won in a green card lottery. By that time he divorced from his ex-wife, and I graduated from the university and had obligatory job placement in Belarus for 2 years on.
11/19/2010 got married. In about a month he left for the US and applied for family reunification.
03/24/2011 Priority Date
04/08/2013 NOA2

i'm 28 of April 2011, i got NOA 2 on 2 Sep 2011 !! i wonder you haven't received it yet

Your petition was sent to the California Service Center, right? Vermont is seriously behind in processing F2A cases, they haven't even reached March 2011 yet.

Best of luck to all VSC filers, I really hope we'll see more approvals soon.

That's right for CSC applicant are well approved before 8 months

And

We from VSC are waiting waiting and waiting .

I am really disappointed with their unfair policy .

It's 15 almost and counting for just approval.

I dont know what to say now .

Average time shows 16.9 months for approval I guess .

Let see .

i don't mind the wait, cause after approval still have another long wait til the interview, so if they are closer, i might feel better, so 17 months til approval and another 4 or 5 months til interview and during that 4 -5 u get ur aos and docs ready...long wait for approval makes the approval time til interview time seem short as compared to 2 long waits

Jimmy just made the point. No matter if from NOA1 to NOA2 the wait time is longer than a year ago. As long as the total processing is somewhere 24-30 months, who cares if the NOA2 comes after 6 months or 16 months ?

I'm in CSC and they moved from 5 months to 9.4 months (as of June 2012) processing time. There is no advantage to have NOA2 faster...at the end of the day whoever has earlier the priority date will have that much earlier their visa too.

Jimmmy: BTW you got married 1 day after our marriage and your PD is also just a few days after mine. check my timeline :)

I wouldn't mind the 16-month wait either if I knew that at the end of the wait we will have an approved petition. However, what if the petition is rejected? Then we will have wasted 16 months and have to start from scratch. I would feel much more comfortable to have a completed case as soon as possible, and then just wait for our priority date to become current or my husband to become a citizen, whichever comes first.

aha...got it :) I see the uncertainty about the NOA2, however I really don't think you should worry about not getting approved. the USCIS process is more about catching suspicious fake marriage for the sake of bringing in someone for the green card. at the time when I came to the USA I was told at the embassy that there are certain countries where people pay over 10,000 USD to a green card holder just to marry their son/daughter. This is what they are trying to catch, all other normal petitioner will just get approved.
