Absolutely correct.....I was so excited to be approved in 3 months, then thinking I would only be in NVC for 30 days and then off to the consulate. Now I am preparing for another 3 months in NVC before we go to the consulate...We welcome all newcomers to the NVC process to wait with us...

It seems now YES...It did not used to be like this. Just recently started. I'm already pushing 1 1/2 months and still don't have case number. And for IR-1/CR-1, it takes about 1 month to process your documents after you receive your case number. So, from NOA2 to finish in NVC could be pushing 3 months....

Well poo...guess I'm just going to have to muster up some more patience then. When you start calling NVC and get an operator do you just ask something like "I'm calling to see if you've received my petition from CIS?" What do you ask?? lol.

when you call NVC, 603-334-0700, the operator will ask you for your CIS number....just tell her your number, then she will tell you if your petition has arrived yet. Then, when your petition arrives, it will take about 15-20 more working days to receive the case number (call with the same process).
