K3 & I-130

My wife received the K3 visa last May 2006. She'll be coming to US at the end of this year. before she got the k3 visa, I-130 was approved & they asked me to fill I-864 form & pay the $380.00

My question is, do I need to fill I-864 form & pay the fee?

someome told me once she is here, i need to do the following

Adjustment of status:

Change of status:

Work permit:

Social Security Number:

I'm really confused at this point...any help will be appreciated!

if you pay for that affidavit of support they will come to the USA with CR1 and recieve her Green card if not she will come here and adjust her status and then recieve her green card after a long time and you will have to go with her to the interview,my advice is you pay for that affidavit of support and she will come here with the green card and you are done for 2 years ,iam here on K3 visa and the same thing happened to me but I130 got approved 1 week after i got here dumn i wish i could wait there a week .good luck .

Your wife has a choice to make. She can do what someone told you and apply for adjustment of status in the USA, or she can apply for an immigrant visa and make a trip back to her country for that. The fees are roughly the same either way.
