Sorry just edited my post cause reading back my topic it could be confusing about NOA2. I DID NOT received my NOA2 by any kind of mean, i'm just asking a question about it.....lol Sorry for the confusion. So back to my original post...

Seems like there is a bunch of people this week that received their NOA2 via snail mail but never received any e-mail or any updates on the USCIS website.Since im the canadian one, hes the one checking the mail everyday, but I was getting a little satisfaction to know that I would get updates or e-mail myself...

Now seems like it doesnt matter anymore because they are not updating it anymore for some reason, they do it for the touches, but nothing about approvals....

Anyone else a little frustrated about the non efficiency of the so useful case status on USCIS? :P

Thats possible....I might be reading a little late sometimes so I'm sure my short term memory is letting go some of the informations I'm reading...rofl

But now that you mention it it tells me something. Me and my fiance started our process back in december 2004, had to wait for a divorce decree before filling the K-1... So its getting long and the past month have been very hard on me and I'm getting depressed a little more easily. But knowing that so many people close to my NOA1 got approved lately, its just a bummer that I cant really check for updates because of that. This NOA2 is gonna be a huge huge huge relief for me. Im tired of people asking me when I am gonna leave for USA lol. Can't wait to move on...

Thanks :)

 They finally updated mine today (It says I was approved on 10-19 even though the official letter says 10-10) and I received the emails, but... only because the officer I spoke to over the phone said she'd track my case to see if the automated notification system would send out the emails or not. She said that they are experiencing a glitch in the system.

Again, from the point of view of someone who works with computers for a living... when there's a major bug, sometimes it can take a few days for things to get sorted out and fixed properly. So, let's say there was a problem with one run of approval data. Maybe a couple of days worth before they caught the error. So you've got a chunk of data that is out there that didn't get run into the system. Usually they have to stop, fix the eror, then re-input the data.

So, what it looks like is the error occured on the online system that handles the updates and notifications, but that the paper side of things is still working fine. Which is a small blessing I think. It probably took them a little while to fix the problem, then re-load the data. That's all.
