Financial Aid with I485/I765 pending?

Hi! I was wondering if there's anyway for a K1 visa holder who's undergoing the I-485 (AOS) process to be eligible for financial aid? A quick google search shows mixed reviews and testimonials, therefore I thought I'll make certain and see if anybody had an idea. Thank you very much!

Yes, once you receive your Permanent Resident card you are eligible to apply for financial aid.

You will need to complete the FAFSA - http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

You are eligible once you receive your green card. You are not eligible while your status is pending.
