I didnt say the government did I? You ASSUMED I meant the government. And you know what assuming does now don't you?

I'm referring to businesses that sell weapons, modifiers to weapons, and such.

Next time, try not to assume what I'm saying.

Laws are modified to put standards of business into place to protect other law abiding citizens.

For example, you can't sell a weapon to a 12 year old. You get my point here? You can't sell weapons to convicted felons...this is a LAW. Does this go against the 2nd Amendment in your opinion?

That's a lie. I have three felonies along with a DV and I can purchase a weapon today. :hehe:

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Good ole Alaska. Apparently you can do anything there!

Unlike most of the lower 48, Alaska still respects it's citizens along with the Constitution of the United States of America. They treat adults like adults up here and let them think for themselves. It's all about choice. I can legally smoke weed, then afterwards walk to the store armed like Rambo.

You do realize thanks to bullshit like the Patriot Act, that this government has access to certain records already ANY TIME they want them.

Actually, every little text message you send, phone call you make, etc. it tracked by this government and words are stored as they look for "key" words.

So if you think for a moment that the government would magically let a "business" track their guns and not let them be privy to that information, you're very naive.

They are not privy to many things unless it becomes an issue where they need to be alerted. For example, some nutcase buying up an arsenal of guns and ammo in a short period of time. I would think it would be beneficial for the business to have that information for law enforcement, FBI, whoever should need it to track someone. It would be beneficial for innocent law abiding citizens to be protected, wouldn't you agree? Or is that impeding on the rights of murderers?

You do realize they "want" you to believe that right?

If you have any doubt in what you just said, I implore you to look at the brand new Homeland Security facility they are building. It's actually bigger than the Pentagon.

Also, there are 1-2 million people employed under defense contract budgets within our own borders who's sole job it is to look through and pick out anything they think is "suspicious" on American citizens. Words, terms, groups of people being together, political banter, etc. It's all watched.

This isn't some "conspiracy" either. It's right in front of your face and PBS even covers this #######. Of course the populace would rather watch "16 and Pregnant" or "The Bachelor" than actually educate themselves on the reality of the power this government has taken in the past decade.

Alaska seems like a lovely place to live if you can handle the weather. I'd like to visit in the summer.

They seem to be very relaxed when it comes to felons, perhaps because there are so many there? Can you also vote there?

Felons can vote here as soon as their probation is up. And yes the weather sucks big time during the winter.

Weed is legal up here. Three plants per each adult in the household, no more than a half oz. on your person and it can't be broken up to look like it's for sale. No CCW permits required here and open carry is allowed. It's a dope smokers/gun lovers paradise up here.
