Do you think anyone who does claim to be a Christian follows everything the Bible says?

Anyone can claim to be a Christian but a true Christian that has read Holy Bible knows that homosexuality is a sin. No riding the fence on that one. The Holy Bible is black and white with no gray area in regards to homosexuality.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Not what I asked.

A church and/or person can try to fit the Holy Bible to suit their needs and/or beliefs but the Holy Bible firmly states Gods opinion on homosexuality. Any deviation from Gods word is un Christian and cannot be taken seriously in regards to the Christian lifestyle.

Tell me more about your time at divinity school.

I find it rich that a non-believer has taken upon the mantle of the one anointed to distinguish what is and what is not permissible within a religion.

You are suggesting that 'true' Christians are religious fundamentalists. That's not a view many people would take seriously.

For breaking said countries laws of course.

Official Christian Rule Book

Leviticus is not a part of the Christian bible, it is part of the Torah. Incidentally it considers a sin, on a par with homosexuality to wear clothes made of blended material and eat meat with blood in it. Check your closet and fridge for your own sins. Also consider reading Leviticus in its entirety for a gamut of additional sins.

And yet Jesus himself never wrote one single word condemning anyone.

If you want to see the 'rules' read the ten commandments. Do you ever take the name of the lord in vain? Do you ever bear false witness? How about keeping the seventh day of the week holy, from sundown friday to sundown saturday? Notice when reading the ten commandments that there is none about homosexuality. You have to get down in the weeds of the old testament to come up with those rules. If you read far enough you will find that you are also prohibited from eating bacon, pork, shrimp, lobster, etc. You cannot have any contact with a woman who is menstruating. The list goes on and on and some of the rules and punishments are really out there! You think the Quran is bad, just read the old testament of the bible!

So unless you are ready to adopt all those other rules, stop with using the bible just as a tool to express your ignorance and intolerance with!

And the book of Romans is what? Try again.

If you can read then you can read the Holy Bible. It comes in several languages so there shouldn't be any problem there. Again it's black and white with no gray area.

As far as my knowledge and/or experience with Christianity I was raised going to Quaker and Lutheran church up until I got out of the house and joined the service.

The Holy Bible clearly states in Gods word it's opinion in regards to homosexuality. There's no arguing what is written in the Holy Bible. If you doubt this then read it yourself or try google search.

There is no such book 'of Romans'. There is a book containing a series of letters written by Paul, incidentally a man - just like any other man - addressed to the people of Rome and their rulers.

If you really want to discuss the bible you need to study the subject first, otherwise you will mix the Torah with Christianity and you may end up taking the entire thing out of context. Common errors that cause your argument to lose wind.

The bible was written by men, so really it can hardly be considered the word of god. Incidentally, Talma Torah is evidence that the Jews themselves see fit to study and debate their own scriptures, of which the old testament , aka Torah, is at the epicenter.

The new testament has been translated, edited, rehashed and adapted more than a bad screenplay, over the centuries, which makes it devoid of credibility.

If you want the word of Christ, find the original book written by Jesus himself and read it.

Jesus didn't write a single word of the New Testament. Writers in the tradition of certain witnesses did, along with some of the correspondence of a few early church leaders.

You can bend it anyway you want but there is a Book of Romans in the Holy Bible.

This is the Official Rule Book of Christianity.

You haven't answered my question. Are there any Christians who follow every "rule" the Bible states? Because there sure are a lot more than just "gays are bad" ...

Read my previous post to get a clue.
