Hi, I'm new to this, so forgive me if I miss something.

So I have applied to live with my American Wife in the USA CR-1- I read in the online guides (and elsewhere) that there would be a medical as part of my interview at the US Embassy.

So...when I was young (late 1980s), I had a "bad reaction" to the MMR Jab, which left me showing signs of autism- of course, the whole "Is It Harmful or Not" debate soon started afterwards, but to this day, medical professional are claiming it was all non-sense and that the jab was completely safe.

I managed to recover over the period of several years, and am pleased to say I am fit and well. BUT here's the worry to date- the physician at the US embassy is asking for each applicant to be inoculated with Both MMR jabs- the 1st Ive had, but I did not have the booster at 12, as it was medically advised I didn't have it..

AS you can imagine, I am incredibly worried to be having an injection that almost scarred me for life. So I guess my question boils down to this- will the physician find some other way of allowing me into the states without having to have the booster, or will he be insistent on me having it.

I look forward to hearing your responses!!

Exactly. Also, have your medical records available regarding the first MMR vaccination.

another follow-up question, although think I know answer to this.

It doesn't specify on medical requirements that applicants need the 1st and 2nd boosters. e.g. It just says MMR.

I assume this means that this includes BOTH inoculations, and not just the first or second?

Thanks!

p.s. just mailed letter to embassy physician!
