I-130 AT VSC .

HELLO EVERYBODY ... just wanted to tell you that i called USCIS today to get a statues update on my i-130 case ..my NOA-1 date is 02/06/2012, i was told they are currently working on applications from 2/28/2012 thats kind of frustrating . anyways .. the operator told me this is unusual .. she took my info ..(name , address, phone number , email and date of birth and she submitted a service request for my case because as she said .. the case appears to be outside the normal processing time and at the end she gave me a ticket number .. she said you should hear something form the USCIS soon if you didnt hear anything from them within 15 days give us a call back .thats all .. i just thought i should share this information with you guys .. and i wonder have anyone here with the same situation that have any info to share ?.. also if anyone knows how long after filing service request do you hear something from USCIS ?

Doesn't seem that unusual to me. Our I-130 took 6 months, 22 days (but who's counting?) to approve.

Doesn't seem that unusual around here lately you have people from jan and feb still waiting for approvals from VSC, while others also have been outside the normal processing time and they where unsuccessful to get a service request done, Lucky you where able to do so.... So hang in there, hopefully when you call 15 days later, your status has changed... Good Luck!! And thanks for the update on VSC and letting us know they are actually "working" on some petitions...

thank you guys for replaying , well i guess i got lucky when i was able to file a service request ..i did not even ask for service request , the question is ... is it really a good thing to file SR ?
