My fiancee's information packet says that we must pay the RMB 830 interview fee before being permitted to interview for the visa. How much longer before? Must the money be deposited in one of the approved banks before she will be invited to interview? Or can she arrive in GZ a day early and go to a bank then? The Consulate's information is sketchy, and it does not pay to have her application pushed down to the bottom of the pile after working our way up to the top. Anyone who's already been there, I'd be grateful for feedback. Thanks.

I was told by my lawyer it can be paid anytime between the reciept of packet 3 and the interview. Just make sure she takes the reciept with her to the interview. My wife sent her packet 3 back to Guangzhou today and I am paying the money ASAP just in case.
