Hi everyone,

I am looking online to book a hotel room near St. Luke's and US Embassy either Casa Bocobo or Bayview Hotel and I heard about asiatravel.com. Has anyone tried booking through this site before? How was it? Did you guys have any challenges with the hotel? Just making sure it's legit and won't cause any problem when my fiancée goes there. Thanks guys!

I have stayed at the Best Western twice, 6 days overall. I liked it, its safe, convienient, and also easily within walking distance of the clinic. Using Google Maps, scrolling down low, with Labels clicked, you can see all the buildings and how far apart they are. Also, if you make a booking in advance, 7/14 days, its a lot cheaper, and I just booked online using their web site, or you can just call them. Its an easy walk to the Embassy also. Good Luck.

I think the numbers for most of the hotels are listed in the Embassy form sent out, or you can download it from their site. One person told me, the Best Western had much better food than the Bayview; its wasn't very expensive either.

I use asiatravel.com a few times when I go to the Philippines and have never had an issue with using them.Agoda.com is another good site to use to book rooms in the Philippines, same thing used on my last trip and no issues..

I have only used Agoda...the hotel that we liked the best in the area was Pearl Garden (across from Pan Pacific). It is a pretty short walk to Robinson's center. St Lukes was only like a 50 peso cab ride the one time we took it. (didn't know exactly where St Lukes was at the time). The Embassy is only a couple blocks away too. Either of your choices you mentioned would be good also....I just have no experience with them.

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.

I suggest to take Lotus Garden Hotel just a block away from St. Lukes and 5min. walk to USEM.

another is Casa Bocobo which is along St. Lukes and just take a short taxi ride to USEM

we havent got our NOA2 yet but having ideas to consider in the future wouldnt harm... may i ask for the prices per night of the suggested hotels? coz i think its always better to ask from people who have the first hand info.. thank you so much :)

If you are on budget i suggest GranPrix Hotel, 799pesos/night good for one person.walking distance to St lukes and US embassy.they have a good and affordable price for two person too,i'm not sure how much since i only booked the easy bed which is 799 it's a good deal for me since i'm alone.Lotus garden is around 2,000pesos/night standard room good for two person.so far Gran Prix. Hotel is the cheapest,clean and pretty near to US embassy and St lukes...

I just used that site for the 3rd time, this time booking at bayview for my fiancee and her mother. I booked it for 3 nights and i put in the comments I wouldnt be there and using my card. No problems at check-in, all theybasked from her was her passport and 2000 peso's for a deposit. One of the most convirnent hoyels for St.lukes and USEM. I enjoy staying there as well, but I know that area pretty good.

27 January 2012: Mailed I-129F

03 February 2012: NOA1( e-mail & Text)

03 February 2012: Check Cashed

NO RFE'S

22 June 2012 : NOA2 (e-mail & Text)

16 July 2012: Manila Case Number(by phone)

We stayed at Lotus Garden Hotel my first trip when we got married. The hotel wasn't bad, but we did have an issue with it getting really loud in the hallway around 3:30 am. Pearl Garden is just down the street from Lotus Garden. Cherry Blossoms would be the ideal hotel from all the reading I have done on here. I believe (if my memory serves me right) it is on the St. Lukes side of Robinsons Mall. You are literally within a minute or 2 walk to the mall.
