I am now trying to wrap my head around this 3 years of data to compile and decipher and need ya'lls help.

Okay this is Lagos and I have read the reviews and read what people have said wh( was asked. And it seems visits, duration and pictures are the top items.

I have been stressin about SmS phone text because we just started storing those this year. My husband requested a year ago his text and phone log from MTN (his employer no less) and we have yet to hear anything.

So far I have:

1. Facebook email(779 pages) from 7/2009 to 11/2010

2. Hotmail email a lot probably 500 pages up to present day

3. Yahoo email 2009 about 100 pages

4. SMS Phone text log 97 pages

5. SMS Phone text text - 4000 pages just for 2012

6. 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 tax transcripts(- know u say u don't need 2008. But that was my last full job before I resigned moved and took some time off). I wanted to show I made good money. Only last year I was below the poverty line cuz well I didn't work and was living out of country with husband.

7. Letter of employment, current paystubs (year to date) since I just started new job july 9th

8. Life insurance husband as beneficiary

9. Health insurance him and me

10. Incorporation papers for nigeria and for texas of our business

11. Cards sent by me (none of his arrived)

12. Album of what he has missed these 3 years

13. Wedding album (when I go back next month we will do our formal and traditional. We did the court wedding but pictures were lost with camera that had 6 months of my nigerian stay) so I have nothing now.

14. Monthly phone records from western union calling card logging calls (not a whole lot. We r texters and IM's and What's App)

What else do I need for embassy. I need help. Looking at all this OMG. Now some say "girl bring every email, text and IM." I don't know. What say u who been there done that? And please whatever else u can add I would be most grateful. Thank u very much.

Wow Looks like a pretty extensive list, as much as I sent (13 lbs.) ...not sure what #12 is though. I think you might leave that out because they will want stuff you two did together, not something by yourself.

And don't forget to send him updated stuff to take to his interview dating from the time you sent the original 1-130 to present, including the pics for when you go back next month.

God Bless!

U must have felt me thinking of u$ I remember one of the first post I read when I came to VJ was ur massive interview prep.

The #12 was an album of just things he has missed I'm not even in it. The grandkids birthday parties. Things around town baseball stadium games. Like how some have had their kids submit pics and letters I am just wanting to show what he has here waiting for him.

Everything I have accelt the facebook emails are all after I got back stuff so funky fresh stuff. Man this will be something.

Indeed I sure plan to be there.

On my blackberry when I hit my menu it has

Email history. So daily I send it to my email. Wish I had this a long time ago.

But at least I have enough communication to show we do every single day for 3 years.

Looks good. Do you have evidence of a mingled bank account in Naija ?

We too had #12 of stuff. A bag on rollers to pull it all would be nice lol.

I was questioned "why do we have so much and did I just sit down from day one and start collecting", it seemed like a "fake set up" to the CO.In other words too well put together and made her suspicious. Can't win with these people !

My answer was I have an attorney and was advised by him to do so. She couldn't say much about it and just said ok.

Best wishes ~

You have a comprehensive list of items.Well in terms of documentation to show ongoing relationship, you don't need to submit the old messages, all you need to submit is the mails, texts, chats etc that you had after the submission of your petition. Then on the issue of pictures if you don't submit more with the petition,i will advice you take more in your recent visit.Do have more with friends&families and not with him alone cos it gives the officer chance to believe your relationship is real.To be on a safer side if your current tax for 2011 is not upto poverty level, then find a joint one cos they lay emphasis on the current one that previous. It would have been better if the recent one is above the poverty level then the other not upto. Finally i believe if you equipped him well with what he needs, your appearance will makes no difference. What gives the officer concern is if your last visit to the time of interview is far but fine if it is within 0-5 months.

Thank you for your input. A joint sponsor is not an option and I don't think necessary since my 2011 was explanable I was living with husband. Now my income is well above their line and should be no wahala. IMHO.

I may or may not be at interview it depends on when i get time off and such. Its more important for me to be able to visit before interview time and well be there and take pics have wedding and spend time with family. I won;t have much time to visit at all. New job and all. Thank you Omeka for your time and suggestions. :)

i was making reference to your quote "Only last year I was below the poverty line cuz well I didn't work and was living out of country with husband"if you are sure of your hubby's interview this year. Please do get a joint sponsor cos your previous year income is not above poverty level and that may be the major focus cos it serves as the Pillar of the whole process. That is the ability to prove to the consular that your income is capable of securing you and your hubby.Even on your affidavit of support form,it was specified you submit the most recent, while others are optional.check #25 of your form I-864.I am talking from experience and i believe the earlier you act the better for you. It's just an opinion for you.

Wow. I wish my items were as we'll organised as yours. I have,

1) our call records from 2010 to 2012 . The company seems unable to retrieve 2009.

2) emails from 2009 to 2012, but we rely mostly on yahoo messenger chats, so our emails are mostly too naughty to print.

3) yahoo messenger chat logs from 2011 oct. didn't know to save them on time and by some stroke of luck, our yahoo messenger archives stored fat least those those.

4) Skype video calls, only 6 months old, cause I don't know to save those on time. However, when I print it, the time on it seems very faint. Barely visible.

5) have done court traditional wedding, court wedding and church wedding and I have the pictures. Can I show them all those and do I tell them that I've had all three types of wedding. The lawyer thinks I should focus on the court wedding. ( church wedding has a photo book which is really heavy)

6) pictures with family are just the wedding pictures. All other pictures we took were mostly just the two of us.

6) western union receipts. Have heard that this is controversial. In any case, my husband had to send plenty of money around a particular period when we were planning the wedding, hall, food etc. aside from that, he sends once in a while, just to make sure I'm ok.

7) joint bank account. If I'd known that was a requirement we woulda opened. My husband suggested it once, but neither of us followed up on it.

8) boarding passes, my husband didn't keep those. He has his online travel itinery. But I don't know if they put much stock on that.

If I had known what I know now 2 years ago, we woulda compiled a prefect package. Ah well that's life. Hopefully, that's enough.

8) boarding passes, my husband didn't keep those. He has his online travel itinery. But I don't know if they put much stock on that.

If I had known what I know now 2 years ago, we woulda compiled a prefect package. Ah well that's life. Hopefully, that's enough.

LOL I hear ya. Since I wrote this I have got everything together 1491 pages of (Whatsapp, IM's, SMS texting, Hotmail log and email) and two photobooks I made on Shutterfly. I was going to send in with the DS-230 package to NVC to pass on to Embassy. But I'm not tempting that fate.

So husband will be weighted down like a pack mule.

Filed: Citizen (apr) Country: Nigeria
Timeline

i was making reference to your quote "Only last year I was below the poverty line cuz well I didn't work and was living out of country with husband"if you are sure of your hubby's interview this year.

Omeka I hear what you are saying , but one thing I have researched and seen many who previous year was below. But because I am in an industry that is very easy to get a very well paying job they see that demonstrated in my previous 4 years transcripts so they know the only reason i didn't make the guidelines was I wasn't in the country. That their concern can i work will i work and will this immigrant be taken care of and not be a public charge. Like i said a co-sponsor is not an option.
