Work visa expiration what to do now?

I am a K-1 visa filer so I apologize in advance for my ignorance when it comes to other visas. I'm asking for my friend who has a girlfriend who is on a work visa from Sweden which was supposed to expire October 2, 2013 but since Sweden wrote the expiration date as 2/10/13 USA is making her leave by February 10, 2013. My friend and her girlfriend wanted to get married but it doesn't make a difference (regarding to visas) since it is a same sex relationship. I know they cannot file for a marriage or fiance visa since when it comes to visas gay marriages aren't accepted. How could my friend's girlfriend stay in the USA while still being legal? Any information or advice would truly help out my friend.

The government of Sweden doesn't issue US visas, the US government does.

From what you are saying, someone didn't proof read the forms prior to submission.

If she is here on a work visa, then her employer would handle the renewal. If she is here on a J visa, that is different. What is the visa type that she holds?

Currently no family based visas for same sex couples. If she needs to work, then a work visa would be needed.

Another option, they relocate to Sweden until the US immigration laws provide for same sex couples.

My best friend is in a similar situation. She is in a same sex relationship with a USC, but as of right now, they can't just get married and file aos. My friend is German and she is hoping to maybe some day find a job over here in the US or to maybe win the greencard lottery some day. They would love to live in the States, but they are both thinking about either settling down in Germany or to live in another country together.

Love should be love, no matter what color or sex you are with. But in order for same sex couples to be together, when one of them is a foreigner, the US has to allow same-sex marriage everywhere in the States first, and who knows when that is going to happen.

Day 02 - 01/04/2013 package arrived in the am *patiently waiting for more*

Day 05 - 01/07/2013 received text messages for all 4 forms

Day 06 - 01/08/2013 checks been cashed

Day 08 - 01/10/2013 received NOAs for all four forms

Day 12 - 01/14/2013 received appointment letter for biometrics on 02/01/2013 but completed biometrics the same day

Day 27 - 01/29/2013 received email that our case is ready to be scheduled for an Interview :)

Day 29 - 01/31/2013 received an email that our Interview will be on March 6 2013!!!!!!!!!

Day 33 - 02/04/2013 received hardcopy of interview letter

Day 62 - 03/05/2013 EAD/AP approved

Day 63 - 03/06/2013 scheduled interview appointment - APPROVED

Day 66 - 03/09/2013 I130 & I485 Approval noitces arrived in the mail

Day 70 - 03/13/2013 EAD/ AP combo card arrives in the mail

Day 71 - 03/14/2013 Greencard arrives yay!!!

I would think they need to make phonecalls to have the date rectified. Are you sure it isn't the swede who was mixed up in reading the date?

Sweden allows for same sex immigration.

In other countries they write the date as date/month/year. Unfortunately since they need a USA visa it doesn't matter that Sweden allows same sex immigration and my friend cannot move to Sweden since she has medical issues she needs to deal with in the USA. I told my friend to have her girlfriend reapply for another visa but her job wants to hire someone new aparently they can hire someone new for less money since my friends girlfriend has worked for a few years they have given her a few raises. I guess she just needs to find a new job that will give her a new work visa. Thank you for all your help! It's greatly appreciated
