K-2 AP timeline

My wife received her EAD and AP last week but the K-2 child didn't receive his AP. Anyone have any experience with how long it takes a K-2 holder to receive the AP after the K-1has received theirs? Our AOS interview is scheduled for August 22. Shouldn't they issue the childs AP prior to GC approval?

In our case we sent both of their applications together in on envelope and it took about an additional 3 weeks to get my stepdaughter's AP and EAD. Alla's was one card for both but her daughter's was two separate things.
