Hello everyone, this is my first post here and my wife and I are looking for some help I guess :) We'll be filing the I-130 packet soon and was curious if there was anything that we can do to speed the process up or some things that we need to be careful about when applying. My wife and I live in Serbia with our newborn baby. I am a U.S. citizen by birth and my daughter will soon be registered as an American citizen also. As for evidence of a ongoing relationship it may be difficult for us to show dated photos, e-mails etc. since we didnt date our photos or save transcripts of any kind because we've been living together basically since we decided to be in a relationship. Any and all information or tips you can provide is appreciated, thanks :dance:

09/17/12 I-130 sent
09/21/12 NOA1 recieved via e-mail (CSC)
09/27/12 NOA1 hardcopy recieved
09/27/12 Case transferred to another office for processing (Jurisdiction)
10/03/12 Received notice of transfer. Transferred to NBC in Missouri
10/03/12 Checked USCIS.gov/Notice of transfer to another USCIS office for processing
12/19/12 NOA2!!!!!

01/24/2013 Got the Case and IIN #
01/24/2012 E-mailed DS-3032

01/24/2013 AOS bill invoiced
02/07/2013 DS-3032 e-mail accepted
04/15/2013 AOS and IV fees payed

05/15/2013 AOS and IV packages sent

05/29/2013 CASE COMPLETE

06/04/2013 Interview date set for July 30th 2013

07/27/2013 Medical completed

07/30/2013 Interview APPROVED!!!!!

Your case will be fast-tracked if you, the USC petitioner, put your foreign address on the I-130 etc. Have a look at our Guides to make sure you include everything needed in your packet: http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Thanks for the help in moving my post, I wasn't sure where to post it. as for the evidence of a bonafide marriage, is there any suggestions that you can help with. Thanks :)

Living together, is the best proof. So- letters or a lease in both your names; also co-mingling of resources such as joint bills, joint bank accounts, being on eachother's life insurance etc. Photos from throughout your dating and married life are good too.

If my daughter is registred as an american citizen do I need to file separate I-130 form for both my wife and my daughter?

No, your daughter is a citizen and will get a US passport. She will need to be counted in the household size for the I-864 affidavit of support though.

Can anyone tell me the fees after the initial fee of 420$? When you have to pay them and how much?

When the file reaches the NVC and a case number has been assigned, these will be the fees:

Affidavit of Support - $88

Immigrant Visa Application - $230

There may be a fee to have the beneficiary's passport returned with the visa after the interview (i.e. a courier fee). You will need a Serbia specific answer in this regard.

May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Thanks for the answer :thumbs: Can you tell me if the translations asked for non English documents must be translated by a court translator (with a stamp on the document ) or my wife can do the translations since she is fluent in both English and Serbian?
