"wasted red removed in absentia"

Does that make sense to anyone or was it a typo?

9/17/2011 - sent I-13

09/19/2011 - noa1 received

3/16/2012 - case sent to my local USCIS office for additional processing

4/21/2012 - AP. If we haven't heard from them in SIX MONTHS (omg) we can feel free to call them!!! Thanks!

9/20/2012 - Interview scheduled - October 3!!!!

10/3/2012 - Interview went well but she must look at his A-file more before decision.

10/12/2012 - I-130 APPROVED! APPROVED! APPROVED!

04/20/2012: NOA107/20/2012: instead of an approval, we got thrown into AP. sigh

11/01/2012: Boys' I-130 interview set for November 28, 2012.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

More context would still be good

- what visa is being applied for?

- Did the person get removed from the USA? Put in removal proceedings but he'd already gone home by himself?

- Who said this- a lawyer, part of a paper the person got when they got deported?

As a wild guess, something was removed from an official piece of paper for security / data protection reasons.

It was an email from Marc Ellis.

I gave my background about my husbands case (he is in removals) and about my step kids' cases (they just got thrown into AP on Friday). I was asking abut my children's cases but I think he was focused on my husbands case and he said the above.

It reads like a typo. Like s/he was typing something else and amended it without noticing that he didn't remove all of the old comment.

I think it's a typo, too. Like he was saying "if he was (something?) removed in absentia" and he misspelled the (something) word so it changed it to "wasted red" instead of "was (something). Hard to explain! Lol

I was dealing with Marc Ellis though, so didn't want to sound stupid by asking what the hell he was talking about!

I think he was saying that if my husband was put into removals in absentia then he has problems. That's my best guess.

First thing, ask the sender what they meant. That's the best way to know.

Agreed that it seems to be a typo. "was tried / removed in absentia " is my guess as what was meant.
