We were just talking of how it would be nice to be together and that we will see each other soon and then finished the skype call. Checked my gmail and i got an email from USCIS! OMG! I can't believe it. i called my fiance right away and told him that our petition got approved! We were so surprised! We didn't expect the NOA2 will come this soon. So after NOA2, what's next? Will there be another long wait for getting a schedule? Can anyone share any tips on how to proceed with the rest of the process?

Next your case will be sent to NVC (National Visa Center) where it will go through cursory processing... they'll check to make sure addresses are accurate and such, then they'll assign a case number before sending the petition to your consulate. This process may take anywhere from a couple of weeks to several weeks (CSC appears to be pretty slow to send NOA2 cases along to NVC these days... average looks to be about 28 days or so). I've also heard of cases that have been at NVC waiting for case numbers to be assigned for 3-4 weeks recently. That said, I've seen them also go through from NOA2 to receipt at the beneficiary's consulate in as little as 2 weeks recently. You can start calling the NVC about a week after you received the NOA2 to inquire as to whether they've received your case, assigned a case number, and even whether they've sent it to the consulate (using your WAC receipt number). This is also a good time to start gathering the documents and evidence that you'll need for the Packet 3 and the interview. Congrats and best of luck!

wow, i saw your timeline. they schedule the interview that far? almost 2 months from your NOA2? now, i'm worried. I thought once your get the NOA2, it will be easier. But i guess, there will be another long wait. Anyway, is the beneficiary allowed to call or it should just be the petitioner?

will it be ok to follow-up with them everyday? i want to do that, but i don't want them to get irritated to me and it might affect our application.. so 2 weeks is the minimum turn around time for my case to be forwarded from NVC to my consulate? i appreciate all your advise guys. thank you!

There was a sudden back logged at NVC kaya medyo natagalan bago namin nakuha ang case number namin. But I heard ok na ulit ngayon. When I scheduled for interview, August 13 was the earliest date available.

Congrats on your approval and goodluck :)

Just call NVC everyday and/or e-mail them at NVCInquiry@state.gov

Ohh...I just called them once. Si fiance ang madalas tumawag
