First, congrats!!

Second.. He is your fiance, not your hubby. Hubby is short for husband. You can be denied if they think you are married and not engaged, they only need to THINK you are so referring to him as your husband and you as the wife is very bad.

Lastly, yes, depending on your country it can take more than 3 months to get the visa. Depends on if your country takes a long time to schedule interview, if the FBI checks take a while, if you go into AP (administrative processing), if your mail takes a while to be delivered. You're over the longest wait though.
