We sent in the i-130 for June 12, 2012 and haven't received the NOA1 yet. we are starting to worry. dont know what to do. i filed with the vermont service center. anyone with similar experience. i heard it usual takes a month to get the first response

Ok....without your I-797C (NOA1). How do you know which service center is processing your petition?

i said vermont because of the state i live in. saw on the uscis website that it would be vermont because i live in CT

thank you. i called uscis. they said i sent a expired form. now have to refile. complete disaster so far. a whole month wasted. .

Wow...I am very surprised to hear this. Did you download the I-130 form from the USCIS website? Usually if the outdated form is still on the website, it means they are still accepting that expired form.

i thought i did. i could just kick myself for this. i went back on there website and the date for the form i used was not in their list. its my fault i should have been paying closer attention to such an important detail

lesson learned....always use the latest form for USCIS. You will be using more forms from USCIS in the future, so now you know.
