Hi! I too received my biometrics apointment letter a month after our NOA1.But it stated on the USCIS website that you should receive the biometrics letter within 30 days from NOA1.If you didn't receive it within 30 days then you can call USCIS and make a service request for it.This is what we did.You can refer on my timeline below.

Wait until it has been 30 days since your NOA1 date. If you haven't heard anything you can call the USCIS call center and ask for an update.

It is normal to wait this long, don't worry. The appointments are sent out when your local office has available slots, each office is different so some may receive their notice before you.

tnx..that's atleast a big relief for me, have to wait for few more days, before calling USCIS, BTW did you call the uscis or wait for the letter?

I waited until about 35 days and then called. You can raise a service request to find out why your appointment hasn't been scheduled after about that time. You can also ask to be transferred to tier 2 and get them to verify that your letter didn't get lost in the mail. Hopefully it will be soon. :)

I sent my I-485 package last June 13 and I received my hardcopy of biometrics appointment July 12

so it's almost a month before I got my schedule.

I called them after 2 weeks from when I sent it (the USCIS call center) and they told me to wait

for a month if nothing has received around that time, then call them back again.

I was tired of waiting because I always check our mailbox and wait for the mail truck to come and

nothing was there from USCIS. I already thought I would call them again but when I was not waiting for

it, suddenly it came and, did not went to the mail box and it was handed to me by my husband when I decided

to not check our mailbox and I felt happy that it came unexpectedly.

I had my biometrics done last Monday. What's next for me?

I checked my case status and nothing has changed from its acceptance and initial review status.

I noticed some of you guys here have your case been transferred after your biometrics.

You just have to wait. Some get's transferred to CSC until a decision is made without any interviews(mostly adjusting from K1).Some are transferred to their local USCIS office and gets interviewed. At the moment the average waiting time for AOS approval is between 6-8 months. Some get lucky and gets approved between 3-4 months from NOA1.Goodluck on your journey.
