Well Our online status says today they sent us an RFE. I'm not really surprised I'm sure it's for my brother's birth certificate or something like that. Does that mean they are already working on our case or just checking for completeness?

Also, it has been about 2 weeks since we got NOA1 for AOS and still nothing in the mail for EAD and AP. Should I call the national customer service number on USCIS or do I call in Chicago or are they all the same 1800 number?

Any help would be great! Thanks!

I would think that it is MSC's initial review of your application before they transfer it to your local office or CSC ... I believe they look for the obvious things that are normally missing ...

Your NOA should state all of the forms you sent in if you sent them in together.

Now we have NOA1 for AOS, biometrics letter with MSC #'s for EAD and AOS. Nothing on AP still... although I think I found it on the USCIS site by changing the last digit of the EAD number.
