I have never been to the Juarez/El Paso bridge, but I hear it can be a long wait. I don't know how long the bridge is, but here where I live (Del Rio/Acuna) when the bridge is crowded and cars are stuck, someone walking can still make the whole bridge in 10 minutes. (I've watched them do this and it just adds to by anger being stuck on the bridge....and, of course, I usually have to pee!) If he doesn't have a lot of baggage with him, maybe you can have him take a cab to the bridge, walk the bridge, and then catch a cab on the El Paso side to the airport. Just a thought....

Yes! We're waiting for play-by-plays!!!!!! Good luck to all up-coming interviews!

I've got a couple questions:

For the intent to marry form, it says that it should not be signed. I suppose that my fiancee will sign it in the interview. But what about the intent to marry form for me? As I am not allowed to be in the interview, do I just sign it now? And do I date it also?

Also, for the proof of my fiancee not being a public charge, did you bring proof of ownership of your property or real estate? They are asking for a title or deed.

Thanks!

BTW, I'll be in Hermosillo next Tuesday for work and then Ady and I are going to Juarez on June 11th. Hopefully, I won't need a desparate email to you all like Monica did. We are staying at the La Playa Inn Hotel. Is this a good or bad? I've heard the taxis like to quote high fares? Any idea how much it should cost from the CJ Airport?

I would sign the intent to marry at a notary and put it with the other documents that she is taking.

Good luck and have a safe trip!

Shoot, I only put the intent to marry form in the packet for Edgar, I wrote a letter that I still intend to marry him because there really wasn't any instructions about what to do with mine so that's what I did, I hope that's ok? Edgar will be in Juarez by tonight and will be going for his medical tomorrow! I'm so excited, I can't wait to see him!!!!!!! Please say a prayer for us!

No need to notarize anything except the I-134 if you plan to use it (not required at CDJ).

I am soooooooooooooooooooo EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really hope they don't call me from the consulate to ask me any questions, I don't think they will. Edgar is 100% prepared, they cannot turn us down, I'm looking forward to seeing my baby on Thursday night!!!! I can't believe it's been 6 long month apart. I must say the whole process only took 2 months and 2 weeks from I-129F to interview, amazing!

I will be waiting with bated breath all day on Thursday for Edgar's call from the embassy - I am so freaked out!!! I can't wait to hear the news!!!

So my cell phone got 'left' in a bathroom in the Mexico City airport literally moments before boarding my flight, and its replacement won't come until likely Wednesday. That said, Marco must have landed in Juarez about an hour ago and of course can't text me since I am phoneless.

Did I mention that I don't have a home phone? I begged my dad's cell off of him and am counting the minutes until I get out of work and can phone him.

I'm going to try and be calm, but boy I can't wait until it's Wednesday night and homeboy is finished. :D

found something to freak out about.

Advil can cause false positives for pot on a urine sample????? He's been taking them for a toothache. I'm trying not to spaz. I've already researched it online and while many sites state this to be the case, I found a pretty reliable one that says it's no longer true. Boy, I can't wait until this is all over.

Also, the taxi driver told marco that they were going to send him to a psychologist because of his tattoos. I know I shouldn't let words of wisdom from a juarez cab driver freak me out, but it's hard not to. HAS ANYONE HAD THIS HAPPEN OR HEARD ABOUT IT HAPPENING?

Let's see, he's at hotel la playa, says it's a really creepy vibe around the consulate and that there really are shady characters hanging out, people aren't just making that up. Also that there's nothing to do.

Ah yes, and significant others, remember to bring your passport to Banamex or they won't accept your payment.

I think that's it for today.

My fiance has a big tattoo and he wasn't sent to see a psychologist. I think they do that when someone has had mental issues or has been deemed an addict of some sort. Many many people have tattoos and haven't had to see a dr. No te preocupes!

Stephanie...I also had a freak out about the whole tattoo/shrink thing. I've been trying to follow what happens and people have said that sometimes they do get sent to a shrink and others time they don't. Last time I posted elsewhere, one person said that the doc just asked, "so does your fiance/e have tats and where?"

Any word from Janet?

Sigh...I'm so nervous for you both. Just dropped a student off at her house and she's also nervous for me, and had a lot of ojala's to say!

I didn't think I'd be this much of a wreck. I'm starting to be sorry I didn't just take the damned time off of work. Advil, for goodness sake!

The good thing is that I've been cleaning in an attempt to settle down. Much better than the depressed I miss my chango laying around in bed that's been going on as of late :)

Maybe you could blast your super impressive stereo and play X-box to calm your nerves?

I've NEVER heard of the Advil thing before...I truly hope it's just an urban legend.
