I had my parents fill out an avidavit of Support and have it notorized since I haven't made enough this year to qualify. Is there anything I should take with it? Should I fill one out too or do I not need to worry about it since my parents agreed to "sponsor"?

I just got off the phone with Oliverio and he picked his ID up today and went and paid for his passport. They said he can pick up his passport next Monday......Thank God I don't have to worry about that now, but I'm still gonna kick him when I see him :P 8 more days and I'll be gone, but I'll take my computer with me and post everything as it happens...I can't wait..It's all I've been thinking about. I just want to pack everything up and put it in my van so I feel like I'm leaving today hahaha

My parents suprised me and agreed to sponsor him but I'm going to also. If CDJ doesn't want my info they can give it back:) When I filed paper (I-130) for my now ex my parents were also going to be his sponsor. We were suppose to use the I-864 (I don't think that is the right number, oh well) and for that one I as the petitioner had to fill out the paper worker also even though I had ZERO income. So that is really why I'm taking my info to CDJ, because I just want to make sure. I guess better safe then sorry.

I'm glad to see you got your packet Louisa! and I guess congratulations to you too Waiting for getting your second one :P

I'm getting more and more excited (y nerviosa tambien!) as our interview date gets closer. We are almost ready for it, we just need to letter from the bank- we got one already, but they did it only for 3 months- and the passport photos that they need.

We're also hoping the consulate doesn't close for the rest of the weekdays after Christmas, that would not be good for us. I really would like to have my fiance close by during my interview, and he won't be able to take time off from work to go with me any other time soon :(

OKay everyone I have a question to ask. How strict is CDJ with the employer letter? The reason I ask is because my dad (my co-sponsor) is having such a difficult time getting the letter. It turns out that he doesn't have anyone that can provide such a letter where he works. The human resources department is stationed in Pennsylvania, and we live in California. Now, he says that the best he can do is get it from his manager that actually works with him. But the manager is so busy, that he said for me to type it out and print it out and then he will just sign it. Also, he doesn't have a direct line, so the phone number he provides is the phone number of the company. So if the people at Juarez actually call this number, they will not be speaking to anyone who can provide details as to the nature of my dad's employment, my dad's salary or any info. This is sooo terrible, argggggggggggg. WHat should I do everyone? For those of you that have been thru Juarez already, do you think they actually call up the employers to check up? Should I just stick with the letter that the manager can provide and type it out myself and just have him sign it? What would you guys do? This has definately been the most difficult to get! :help:

Congratulations Mike and Genoveva! Thank you so much for the review and advice, it definitely helps to hear positive things about CDJ :)

Did they really asked for 4 years of tax info? I was planning on taking only 3 years.

Ucla_cutie, I'm not sure how strict they are about the letter, but if you decide to write and print it yourself I would make sure to have paper with the company's letter head, would your dad be able to get this for you?

I was wondering if you guys know if it possible to pay the visa fee at any other Banamex in the country, I think it would be much easier to do it before heading to CDJ at a local Banamex.

Emma on CDJ's website it says you can pay at any Banamex. Maybe you can try at your local Banamex and if they don't know what it's about, do it in CDJ?

You can pay at any Banamex. Leo paid ahead of time in his city. Make sure you bring appointment letter and passport to bank.
