Oh yeah I missed that kk, that its needed for an immigrant visa . But the funny thing is that the form is listed under the title PAQUETE PARA VISA DE PROMETIDO, I guess they placed it in the wrong category (doesn't surprise me though).

Lucy, did Fernando end up getting some of his vaccines in CDJ?

Strange - in English it's listed under Appointment Package for Immigrant Visa Applicants

No vaccines were given to Fernando. I asked if they did anything special since it seemed more expensive, and he said all they did was blood, urine and X-rays. They gave him the xrays at the interview and told him they were not needed :(

Yes, he was charged 1,635 pesos. He didn't know why it was so much and he didn't dare ask. He said the female Dr. was very rude and kept asking him if he had ever done drugs. When he would say no, she would ask again differently or adding are you sure? ever? It is like they wanted him to answer yes :( How sad that many might have felt railroaded.

The basic medical exam is $135.00 plus tax. Xrays are necessary because if there is something on the medical report that causes in ineligibility, it needs to be discussed at the interview. Xrays and the medical report are also needed at the POE but they usually don't take the physcial xray from you so it becomes a weird souvenir!

BTW, I also would not suggest doing vaccines in CDJ because they charge so much and apparently often disregard any proof of vaccinations the applicant provides. There are many other places to get them done both in Mexico and the US for less than CDJ - then the CS can transfer the record to the appropriate form before AOS.

Congratulartions Lucy, I'm soo happy for you two, it's so great to hear that he made it OK :dance:

I'm sorry to hear that you had to spend more days at CDJ than what you had planned, but I guess at the end it was worth it :)

I wonder if they will do the same on the week of Christmas, that's when we are planning on going for my interview :( Danielle, please let me know if you find out anything about these days

It's kind of scary to know that they denied so many visas while you were there though :(

Yeah, it's no secret that they want them to answer yes. After what happened to us, our attorney informed us of an Advisory issued by the AILA in regards to the physicians in Juarez and their drug issues. Unfortunately, "railroaded" is what happened to Javy... :(

I had another question for you, on one of the forms , DS 156, it asks for the national identification number. Is that the same as the CURP? I remembered you said something about a post you made on i2us, and I actually looked for your post on that site, but couldn't find it. My fiance told me about something called the CURP that is used in Mexico and I was wondering if it's the same as the national identification number.

I think we left that blank - CURP is something else.

Updated waiting room list is attached with Lucy's approval and Allie's pick up date!!

2) Notice about payment of visa fee at Banamex - same as website but Banamex only accepts cash and charges a little more than the standard $100 fee - no idea why.

3) Instructions - same as . Medical is $135 USD (without vaccinations) and they do not accept credit cards.

* Hardship waivers are no longer submitted on the same day; a second appointment is given by the consulate to return, pay the fee ($265) give fingerprints ($85) and submit the waiver.

* Taxi from CDJ airport to consulate neighborhood is about 200 pesos/$20 USD.

Wow it is great to see things moving along for so many people.

I am beginning to wonder where my fiance packet is though? When I called NVC on November 3rd they said our papers had been sent to Juarez. So I'm thinking I should be getting my packet anytime now. I'm getting anxious. We won't be able to go for his interview until the middle of Janurary but I still want it in my hands. Also I don't want to ask for time off work until I have the packet because as we all know by know you never know with CDJ

My husband, 2 year old son and I leave this Sunday for Juarez for our interview. We know the likelyhood of him having to stay down there due to coming to the US illegally. I just hope we get someone nice... we will see.

Welcome to the group Carlyflower do you have a waiver prepared already? If you give us some details about when and how long your husband was in the US illegally we can give you more information. Also how many times your husband crossed and if he was ever caught, deported, etc.

Louisa, since your case went to the NVC on November 3, I think you still have a few more days as the average has been about 4 week and they were closed a few days last week. Hopefully you'll receive it next week!!
