Okay, so after my last post I called NVC and they told me the same answer again, that they had not received my petition yet......

But, then I got a response to my email today. I sent them an email on asking if they had my case yet and my email says:

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) recently received this petition. We are in the process of entering the petition information into the computer system and assigning a case number. Upon completion of this process, the appropriate agent (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will receive instructions for the further processing of this petition.

Regards,

National Visa Center

LVF

So go figure!!!! I am going to accept the email response and forget about the silly person I talked to on the phone.

Hello All! I have a questions i'm hoping that someone can answer for me.

Working on getting the financial info ready and kind of worried about coming up short or having difficulty getting someone to commit to being a co-sponsor.

Anyways, I believe that the company where I work would offer a job to Uriel. I read a thread somewhere about what the 'offer of employment' letter should state. (something about upon obtaining proper papers)

Would this be helpful? For him to have an offer of employment?

Thanks so much!

Wish I could help answer your question but I don't know. My sitution is like yours in some ways. My income falls about 500 short per year. It is so maddening to be so close but not make enough. I also am not sure about having someone help me sponsor him. I'm pretty sure that I could get his old boss to write a letter for him also but I'm not sure if this would work or if they would include it with my income or if his job alone would have to be enough.

Hola Chicas!

Hope everyone has safe travels for Thanksgiving. I just got an email back from CDJ tonight and email said they will review case and for me to contact them in 10 days to see when scheduled appointment is.

Slowly but surely we are getting there. I was actually shocked they said 10 days. Hopefully that means they are really reviewing in the next week. Not really much to review though other than fingerprints have cleared.

Have a good weekend everyone. I will be busy cleaning the house for some family that will be crashing with me over holidays. Hopefully I can keep my dog off the clean sheets in the guest bedrooms. Thankfully thanksgiving feast is at my mom's house and all I have to do is bring the mashed potatoes and an apple pie.

Saludos!

I'm glad most of you seem to have some progress with your cases. I have no idea what is going on with our case. Every day I get a new cryptic email from CDJ. Today's email said that the file was received electronically before Oct. 10 and then in boxes in November and that they were processing it but that they had a heavy workload and would send me the packet as soon as they could. It was poorly written and I almost think that the department that writes the emails just looks at a computer screen and makes something up...what do you all think? what about the file in boxes bit?

Happy Thanksgiving to you all too!

More proof that you cannot trust anything CDJ says: someone on I2us called CDJ to ask about her husband's waiver status. The important detail: her husband's waiver was approved months ago and he is already home in the US. She gave his old CDJ case number. They told her it will be 10-12 months even though his case was ALREADY approved, he ALREADY has his visa and he is ALREADY in the US.

Don't pay attention to what they tell you - wait for the packet if you have enough time but download everything from the website since nothing in the packet is usable (outdated forms, bad copies) and get the letter at the info. booth of you need to!!!

Don't rely or trust any information they give you!!!

Good evening Ladies (more like sisters now), I am getting everything ready for the trip next week. As you may imagine, it is nerve wrecking. I do however feel much better having met you gals here on VJ. I can't imagine going through this alone. I truly feel like I have all your support, not even my family can relate to all the turmoil and stress. They just feel like if it doesn't work out for him to come, it is for the best. Well, I don't agree. I know that each of us love our men for who they are and NOT what they are. The support and love here on this forum is much needed. Today I made reservations at Holiday Inn, printed last forms, bought his airline ticket there, my airline ticket there, and YES, our airline tickets together back home. I am being an optimist and thinking positive thoughts.

I hope that each one of us will soon be reunited with our men. I think the well wishes and prayers will reunite us ALL!! If there is in fact internet at the hotel, I will give you all a step by step run down. I know how much I looked forward to KK's feedback and now I will pass it on to everyone.

Have a wonderful and safe weekend. I hope to give you all good news soon!

Thanks again to everyone for the support, help and understanding :)

GOOD LUCK Lucy! Have a safe trip and try to relax. I know it's hard to stay calm and positive, but according to my fiance it wasn't nearly as bad as we have heard or think in our heads. Lots of waiting but in the end, not a big deal. If you are staying at the Holiday Inn Lincoln, they do have free internet.

I tried to update the list and paste it in here but the formatting got all messed up. So if anyone is interested in easily comparing dates, I attached an updated list (without NOA1 or RFE info since it is no longer relevant) in a Word doc. :luv:
