Here is my Juarez document checklist/stacking order with the following caveats:

I included items that I will not receive until I am in Juarez.

I will be taking my 129F copy set just in case, and the DS157 form was not requested in my fiancee packet appears to be just needed for male SO's. ( not sure why).

Also proof of relationship with emphasis on pics. From reviews, they either do not ask for much proof or they just thumb through the pics.

I also beefed up my employment docs since I am self-employed.

I included my 2007 1040 simply because I just filed and cannot get the official transcript. The embassy accepts transcripts which are brief summaries and eliminate the need to provide 20 page tax returns which my accountant is famous for . :star:

Also, I included duplicates of almost everything whether required or not just in case.

Drum roll please..............

1. Banamex Fee receipt (Juarez item)

2. Invitaiton Letter

3. NOA2 ( Original and copy)

4. Medical Results (Juarez item)

5. My intent to marry letter (2 originals)

6. SO Birth Certificate (Copy)

7. Unsigned Form 402- Fiance Intent (2 originals)

8. Unsigned DS156 ( 2 originals)

9. Unsigned DS156K ( 2 originals)

10. I-134 signed/Notarized ( 2 originals)

11. Letter from CPA/ Re: Self-Employment and Income (1 copy)

12. 2007 1040 Tax Return (1 copy)

13. Tax Transcripts: 2006, 2005, and 2004. (1 copy) ( Did not need '04 but it was a very good year)

14. Business License

15. 2 Passport Pics of SO

If anything appears to be missing let me know.

Just remember at the medical when they ask him/her if they have ever tried an illegal drug even for experimentation, the answer is NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!! Even if they say "you better say the truth because our test can tell if you have taken anything in the last 3 years" THEY ARE LYING. Just don't even go there with the drug question, just say NO.

When the medical is over your interview will be a breeze.... just make sure you prep your fiance about that medical, I didn't and my fiance admitted to trying drugs in high school and then smoking a joint 6 months prior to the interview. That still holds true. Angel just picked that date because it worked best for him...

I remember back in February when I was reading through all the old posts in this thread, and I followed your story. My heart went out to you two when I read about what happened. I'm so sorry about all of it- but I admire both of you for going strong and being able to wait for another interview. I already told Angel to make sure doesn't admit to ever even having tried drugs- but then he informed me that he's never tried any drug... so I just said, ok... well make sure that the nurse doesn't pressure you into admitting something that you never did :P It's so awful how they manipulate people into telling the truth and then deny them... ahhhh. But I do appreciate that you are here to remind people not to admit to trying drugs, I'm sure lots of people have benefited from your advice.

Thanks to everybody for the reassurances. That is the best part of this site. My non-VJ friends just don't understand the ups and downs the process creates.

And yes, I had the drug talk with my SO. She tells me that she has never tried drugs, which I believe her. But I told her under no circumstances admit to any usage even if you feel pressured or that you might believe that second hand usage might count.

I hope that what I went through with the passport will provide info. to those that follow. Your must must be good for six months beyond the entry date. I am so glad that it only takes four days or so to renew a Mexican passport. My SO thought she was good because her tourist visa was valid until 2014, and I thought she was good because the passport exp. read 10/02/2009. I did notice that on the U.S. passport the months are abbreviated ie Aug. not 09. That would sure have given me a heads up.

I probably will not post again until I get back, but I feel prepared and comforted that I am taking the same path including hotels, medical clinics, etc. that other VJ members have shared with us.

Thanks again,

Brian

We just came back from Juarez visiting my wife's family and baptism for our baby. We drove by the new consulate which is a very nice area of the city. All the hotels are very nice and new. There is a new mall, VIP movie theator, and a bowling alley. Once it opens it will be alot nicer than where the old one is.

I was just reading over some old posts on pg. 121, and the 1 guy had 2 copies of his intent to marry his fiance, i have not come across where that is mandatory, not that it is

a problem or anything, but do we pretty much do what we did for the I-129F ???????? Like i just typed up a simple letter saying that i fully intend to marry my fiance (name

stated) within 90 days of him arriving in the united states, i dated it and signed it, and he did that same thing, and i sent them in with the rest of the I-129F stuff.

Also, everyone seems to be taking copies of their original I-129F, i have them, but i also read the post on 121 and all the copies that the woman had, they just gave them

back to her, the extras were not needed, they are just taken along for emergencies right??????

This is gonna sound really bad, but im getting nervous just thinking about it, when you get to the consulate and stuff, i am hoping it is pretty self explanitory, b/c it is not that i just dont trust my my fiance, but i think he is unorganized, and hahaha im at that stage where EVERYTHING IS JUST BETTER IF I DO IT!!! I think if i just organize everything for him and maybe clip things together with names on post its for him he should be ok, unfortunately i do not think i am going to be able to go with him this december for his doctors appt. or consulate visit, and that worries me.

I am sure he will do good, but up until this point, he really hasnt had to handle any paperworks, i have been doing it, and im just paranoid!!!! :crying:

a problem or anything, but do we pretty much do what we did for the I-129F ????????

:crying:

I understand where you are coming from. I have filled out almost all of the paperwork- I also got everything together for him when I was there in August. Like you said- it's not like we dont' trust them, but I am a very organized person, and he lacks those skills sometimes. I will also admit that I've been kind of a control freak through this whole process, just because I have read up on it SOO much and so naturally, I know a lot more. Just make sure that your fiance understands the medical exam/interview process and he should be fine. I don't know if he speaks English, but if he doesn't- there are some reviews posted in Spanish about the CDJ consulate that he could read through to get a better idea of everything.

As far as the intent to marry- send your fiance a letter from you (basically the same one you sent in with the petition, just change the date) and then make sure he brings the intent to marry form they gave him in the interview packet.

I'm not sure if it's necessary to have a copy of the I-129F packet. Angel has a copy of it, but again- I dont' know how necessary it is, because the consulate SHOULD have the original I-129 petition.

Good luck with everything. When is your fiance planning on going for his interview?
