VISA IN HAND!!!

The interview was a succes!!

Jorge will arrive on SAT

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

So far so good

He said they treated him very nicely. Everyone there was good and even the people outside were friendly.

Ask him which medical clinic did he choose? I think most of the posts on VJ were basically positive with the one being on the same side of the street as the consulate being slightly in the lead.

Wishing you the best today. :star:

Brian

jmmr - good luck! I hope everything goes well today!

We're going down to city hall today... :star:

Good Luck today, I'm sure you will get it! You are so lucky!

NM123: Yes, the ppl that had a situation to ours weren't really similar because those posters were already married to their SO's. We are not yet married. I found the paper they gave Edgar when he was rejected and it says to contact the office "after 12/09" to set up a new appt time. I guess that means our case is still open, I wonder if we can schedule the appointment now for later?

Oh... I think you should visit immigrate2us.net and ask them. I'm not sure how else to go about the situation. Maybe you could also msg those other posters?

Hello,

Has anyone gone the CR-1/IR-1 route lately at CJC? I origanly was going to go K-3 but am now thinking about going the CR-1/IR-1 route!!! My I-130 and my I-129 were both sent to VSC but don't know where to go from here.

It looks like I-130's are being processed rather qicklly at NVC.

Any advise would be appreciated.

I think there used to be a thread with old CDJ CR-1/IR-1 or K3s. If you do a search on here, with something like "K3 CDJ old thread" or "CR-1 IR-1 CDJ thread" you'll probably see it. But it was from 2006. Also read the old posts here in this thread and I think there were a few, but I don't know when the last one was. I'm sorry this isn't very helpful...

Hola everyone,

I just thought I would say hi, how cool all of us are petitioning for our fiances from Mexico. I just wanted to add something to this post. Where are your novios from? Mine is from Jalisco!

Big time congrats!!!!!!!!!!! :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I know how anxious you must have been. I am starting to get there myself as my SO's time approaches. The first part was not overly bad, because you knew it would be approved, but this Juarez part is starting to get me nervous. I just can't imagine what I will do if we are not approved.

Due to the fact that we are all petitioning for our men in mexico, i have some problems and questions.

I am hoping someone can help me with some pretty important questions. My fiance visa was approved. I am dealing with the ciudad juarez consulate. When i called to get

some more information as to why i never got a packed of information, and that only my fiance did, i was told that i did not need a packet of information and that only my

fiance would be filling out the papers that he got in his packet which consist of the CDJ-401 Intend to marry affidavit, and also the DS-156. The guy also told me he had to

get a police report and a medical examination, which i already knew. However, the guy at the ciudad juarez consulate told me that only my fiance would be having an

interview and i wouldn't, he also told me that i WOULD NOT need to do the I-134 affidavit, and that i would just need to submit proof that i can support my fiance. But i

thought that that was what the I-134 was for? The I-134 is an organized form, and because i am going to have co-sponsors for my fiance, i was looking forward to using that

form, whereas, the ciudad juarez consulate completely confused me. If someone could help me understand what is going on that would be great.

P>S Preferably someone that has done the fiance visa through the ciudad juarez consulate would be awesome.

2nd problem,

Just looking ahead and wondering, after my fiance and i get married within the 90 days that he receives and arrives in the united states, we have to apply for the I-485, however when we apply for that, does that mean that he can continue to stay here even after his fiance visa timeline expires? (I am talking about after we are already married, and file for the I-485, does that mean that he can stay here without problems?)

Hopefully someone can relate and help me

I was just told that i need the DS-156, CDJ-401, DS-156k, and Ds-157, all of which can be found on the ciudad juarez website, but i can not find them under the fiance visa

information. I was also informed by another member that i will not be having an interview at all in the united states for my fiance to get the visa, is that true?

Would anyone be kind enough to pretty much lay out anything and everything that i need? PLZZZ!!! :help:

Kristina here is the link you need for the fiance forms and instructions from the embassy website. And yes, the website does have error in it. The link for the fiance package does not work.

http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/immigr...visa-forms.html

Please read this thread. This link was provided on page 160. I have personally read this entire thread to try and understand the process. I still have occasional questions, and will lean on those who have gone through the process as I panic about my Oct. interview. :star:

If you want a short cut start with page 121. There is a great description of the interview process with pics from Ronin. And the list of docs taken to the interview by successful persons has been listed about a dozen times since 121. I will post my inventory of items that I am taking in about three weeks in order to get the approval of nm123 and jmmr because I am still a nervous nellie. :star:

Do not start panicking about the AOS before you even start. You will drive yourself to an early grave. Your question was correctly answered in another thread that once you file the AOS paperwork there is no expiration fears.

Best of Luck,

Brian

Funny you should ask. Today, I tried calling the number myself from both my office and my cell phone. And the number would not work.

I can almost promise you the problem is the 900 part because it is a pay service. I am assuming that the service is blocked at work for obvious reasons and probably my cell phone, too. I will have to try to call from home.

Were you calling from home?

I was going to ask about the embassy moving and being shut down. I expect to be in Juarez on the 6th of October.

Haha, I was calling for that exact reason! My fiance is hoping to go Oct 27-28 and I want to make sure it won't be shut down for moving. I was calling from a cell phone because that's all I have... my fiance is going to try calling today or tomorrow, hopefully he can get through. You'll have to let me know if you get through and what they say- I'll let you know if I here anything also.

Good luck :)

I called there on Saterday, and it cost 45 bucks to talk to someone who only made me more confused and he "couldnt" answer most of my questions b/c "it is different with every situation". My question that he wouldnt answer is if we could use the I-134 affidavit for the interview, i eventually got it out of him and he said no, dont use it, but i've been learning from people posting that is quite helpful, so i pretty much wasted 45 bucks. Your probably better off saving your money and waiting for responces online, its cheaper, and alot more effective.

Ok... Angel called CDJ today, and they told him that they will be moving on November 1, which is a Saturday. So, apparently they are planning on moving that weekend and then being open. However, I still really want him to go Oct. 27 and 28 but he thinks Nov. 3 and 4 would be better because he gets paid on Oct. 31st. I'm just afraid that the consulate won't have moved everything and will close down the day he goes. Ahhh I just want him to go NOW!

They did tell him to make sure he calls before his appointment to make sure they will be open. So what happens when he decides to go Nov 3-4 and calls on October 30 and they say, "yeah... actually we'll be closed on the 4th, sorry."
