1) How long is the entire process from date I129F petition is received until the visa is in hand?

**I have seen as early as 5 months and I have seen longer than 8 months**

**I am using the 6 to 6.5 month estimate**

2) Please look at my signature. When do you think we will be able to have our appointment? (assuming everything goes perfectly)

**February? March? April? May?

Does Juarez Consulate require a mexican birth certificate translated in English?

Need help ASAP, we are leaving for consulate next week.

The birth certificate translation at K1 interview is not required but AOS does require it.

Anybody know what exactly they check for in the Ciudad Juarez medical exam for the fianceè visa? Thanks.

When my wife had her medical they check her blood and urine but she was pregnant so she didn't have to get an x-ray. I am currious why they even require the x-ray because when you get to the US everyone has said they don't use it or they require a different test for TB?

It is very simple, you go in early in the morning, they call your name to get a photo and show your passport and appointment letter, then they call you into a few other rooms for tests, etc. Then you leave and have to come back in the afternoon and wait again for them to call your name for the results of your medical. it will be in a sealed manila envelope that you take with you to the interview.

Hola everyone, need some assistance with this question:

"30. Have You Ever Been Issued a U.S. Visa? When? Where?"

My fiance has a Laser Visa that she uses to cross to the US regularly for shopping and leisure activities. She has no idea the dates of all her crossings, etc... What is the appropriate response here?

Also, my fiance has obtained three B-2 Visas in the past to travel and visit me. But, we never made copies of these. They were returned to immigration before their expiration. We do not have the dates of issue for these either. What is the appropriate reponse here also?

Anyone with previous experience? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

My wife had a B1/B2 border crossing visa and crossed all the time. They dont really care how accurate you are, especially Mexicans because of the frequent crossings with a "laser visa". They will check to see if their have been any issues with her visas, which they will check her most current.

We just put frequent crossings as the answer.

Just wanted to let all of you know that when you get your vacinnations in Juarez, make sure they fill out the paperwork. They will give you a large brown envelope along with a 8.5x11 white form. Make sure they fill it out.

We just had our interview for Adjustment of Status to get my wife's greencard. Unfortunately, the white form that was given to us did not have anything listed on it. Therefore, it doesn't tell the U.S. immigration officers that vaccinations were taken. They told us to go get the vaccinations again which I've heard will run about $300.

Hopefully our misfortune will help others.

Thanks for the tip. By the way, I really like your time line. About 6 months after the I-129F was received you had the visa. That is great. Perfect even. But then again you filed in January 2007. It seems like everyone filing March 2007 or later the entire process is now taking closer to 8 months versus 6 months.

If anyone is getting a K visa you can go to the health Dept in the US to get the vaccinations and just have the civil surgeon in the US transfer the data to the 693 vaccination supplement.

Yeahh, congratulations!! That was quick. Our case left NVC to Juarez on December 14th, hopefully we will hear something soon. I wonder if K3 visa processing time (in order for us to get the packet) take longer than the k1? Do you guys know?

Thanks,

Does anyone know if there would be any problem if my Mexican fiance is not physically present at her house when they deliver the CDJ packet? We received notice that the application was being mailed to the consulate about 2.5 weeks ago.

Dont worry about it if they send it to the USA address you can scan and send it to her. If she lives in Juarez she could pick it up at the consulate. All you really need is the appointment letter, everything else is available at the website for the juarez website

We got our fiancee visa. Thanks for all the help. One question. At what point in the process does my fiancee have to get her vaccinations? I know it's already been said in here but I forget where.
