The waiver can be mailed (but I want it in NOW and I don't want to take the chance of them saying they did not receive it, even if I have the FedEx proof) but the fingprints and fee have to be paid at the consulate.

So when we go, my fiance might have to stay there for 2 weeks before he can put in the waiver? That is crazy! What are they thinking....Do they not know people have jobs and don't have the money to fly back 2 weeks later? Ok...I'm done complaining

Apparently they are giving return appointments for submitting the waiver, approx. two weeks later.

What other kinds of hoops are they going to make us jump through before we're "allowed" to be with the ones we love? Maybe the next rule will be they want the rights to our first born child :P

Hey girls, guess what happened? It probably won't surprise you since it's the CSC. Well, I recieved another NOA2, yup you read right, I received another NOA2. Well I haven't actually received it in the mail, I just got 5 e-mails saying, "This case has been approved. On November 2, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. blah blah blah" So I guess I got two approvals, maybe it's their delayed system or who knows, since they updated their website maybe it has something to do with this. So the first NOA2, was dated 10/18 but I didn't receive any updates or e-mails. But now I got an e-mail with an approval for Nov. 2nd, no wonder NVC doesn't have my case yet. I bet it's still stuck at the terrible CSC. :D So this probably means, they are going to use the later approval date of Nov. 2 :(

Are you able to get ahold of CSC and see if they sent your packet out yet? Maybe it was approved the 18th but they just sent it to NVC today and ended up sending you an approval notice at the same time. I saw they did that to someone else today too.

I wonder if they happen to do drug tests on their employees.....they way they seem to work, I don't think they do hehe

I checked my status online at the uscis.gov site and after my second NOA2 on 11/02, I got a touch today 11/03. So I'm guessing this may mean they are sending it out to the NVC. Did any of you other girls receive another NOA2 this time with an update and e-mail sent? I'm asking for those of you that never received updates or emails notifying you of NOA2.

Ucla_cutie, we also received the NOA2 email today. And it says exactly the same as yours "This case has been approved. On November 2, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. blah blah blah"

Are you sure the NVC still doesn't have your file? My fiance got their letter on Monday saying they received it on Oct. 25th, and we were approved on the same day you were.

Yes I"m sure they still don't have it. I contacted them already and they don't have it yet. So, I'm going to wait another week or two before asking them again. I also run to get the mail everyday and no letter from the NVC yet.

Louisa, I think it's safe to assume they will do it in the language he is most comfortable with. He can certainly tell them to do it in Spanish if he prefers.

We used to speak ONLY Spanish but his English has improved so much that now it's only English. I do not like that because I'm starting to lose my Spanish!

Thanks I will let him know. He speaks English and I don't speak Spanish. Well I speak some spanish but no where near enough. So we speak to each other in English for now. I'm hoping he will teach me a lot more Spanish once we are together again.

Because of the fact his English is so good I was suprised when he asked me about the interview being in English or Spanish. He is concerned though that he will get nervous and forget how to say what he wants to say. He said it is easy to speak English with me because he isn't nevervous. Poor guy, he is really getting worried about this interview. It reminds me how he was the first time he meet my parents
