if you filed the paperwork for the AOS her green card will carry her maiden/unmarried name instead of her married name. Also, her SSN card will be in her maiden name. You will, at some point, have to correct her name to her married name.

Not neccessarily a big issue.

You could try to bring documentation(marriage certificate) to biometrics appointment and see if they'll change it if you don't have an infopass appointment before then. Otherwise yes, it's a matter of more money and time after receiving greencard.. Which also has to be changed(and you're paying). Look into what's required in your state though.

So if possible, try changing it now, or wait until ROC.

New York state is where we live. Also whats roc?

Roemoval of conditions (Removing Conditions On Permanent Residency). If you had been married less than 2 years when receiving greencard, it's a conditional 2 year greencard, and it'll have to be renewed after 2 year, meeting some requirements(bona fide marriage).

Anyways, if you can't change name(try though) at any stage before interview, then mention it at your interview and request to have your married name on the greencard. I've read a few you successfully did that.

We sent our paperwork two days ago, I am a us citizen, married my b1, b2 wife on June 7. I94 expired on July 10. On her paperwork we put her old last name, instead of new married name. Does that matter? What happens now? Please help

At the interview you can ask the IO to put your wife's married name as her official name on her greencard. The IO will even ask you. Don't stress out until then!

Not a big issue.

You can take care of it after you get your green card, if you want to. Pls don't go for it in the middle of your AOS process.
