After writing long letter to GUZ. This response.

Thank you for your inquiry.

Ms. XXXX's case requires additional administrative processing. This is only a temporary refusal. You don't need to worry about it. We do not need additional information or documents from you while the case is under administrative processing. This may take up to several months. We will contact Ms. XXXX by mail when the case is ready for continued processing. Your patience and understanding is appreciated.

then it's not going back to the USA. GUZ IV just needs additional time . They also not ask for additional evidence. That's a plus.

Here's a fork for ya - did they keep her passport, or no?

If yes - then usually ap will be short.

If no - then expect a few months with a letter later, telling her to send in her passport . When she sends in a passport, make sure there's a new EMS label with an address.

So, it's not as bad as you wrote, prior. Yay ! That's a plus.

Chin Up, please...

You can call the DoS hotline (# in my profile) and check for casefile status every week or every few days. Keep a log of the casefile status phone calls and the DoS Answer, as it'll change when the visa packet is ready for shipment.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

They gave her passport back to her. :( Noe several months ?

What could they be looking at ?

Thanks again Darnell. I'll start calling next week. The GUZ website email seemed to work pretty expeditiously too. I may write them on a regular basis. If I keep bugging them maybe they will approve just to get rid of me.

Thanks for asking and following my case Darnell.

I didn't call today. I have Fridays off and have more time to wait on the phone for a real person.

So I will call on Fridays from home. Unless you think I should be on this right now? I hate to be a nusence and have them move my case to the bottom of the pile.

A friend of my fiance said she was approved within 10 after the "Admin. Process" was handed out. We are hoping for a similar quick response.

I'll keep you up to date here.

Thanks

Called today. They just said they are still working on Administrative Process and to call again. I asked for more information and she said that's all they have.

Yep, that is pretty much standard bureaucrat-speak. All you can do is to keep calling back. Hopefully, they will finish their AP and then will change their tune....

Good luck on your immigration journey.
