hey all.. i just joined after finding out about this great site and i'm looking for input and making an observation..the vsc has to be the worst at customer service, after waiting six months for a reply to my k1 visa application i finally called the uscis customer support to try and get some info, which was a waste of time, the rep just read from the form i already recieved and when asked about timelines or activity on approval couldn't answer anything. when i asked him if i could file a service request to check into the delay he stated that the 6 month wait wasn't ouside of the normal processing times and the vsc was working on petitions dated january 9th 2012, then he stated i could only file a service request if the vsc was working outside of the normal processing times which he further explained as, if the vsc was working on applications filed a day after mine was filed then i would be eligable to file a service request. none of that made any sense to me (because as we all know the vsc still has the 5 month processing time goal posted) so i then asked to talk with a teir two supervisor and was told that they couldn't do anything for me so i wouldn't be able to speak with one, does anybody know if this information is correct or if this is the typical runaround and i need to follow up with more calls.

look, here is the deal with VSC...it is located in a very, very rural part of an already rural state....sort of like on the edge of civilization, the last outpost before the great darkness, the end of the road, where the sun don't shine no more, etc....you get my drift.

there is no way you could ever convince me that they can find competent employees there...I am sure they're good at something, like maybe building igloos or inbreeding...but paperwork obviously is not their forte.

plus, year last, they suffered great flooding (even Providence is disgusted with them) that cut off all their connections with the outside world, cut roads, no electricity, no communications....and they lost what little vestiges of civilization they had....not that in their inbred condition they actually noticed.

also, their broken computer system is totally, and I mean totally, beyond repair.

How many work there?....800 or so...?....we as a people would be better off putting all of them on permanent welfare, a station in life the local denizen are familiar and comfortable with, and moving the entire operation closer to civilization.....like Boston or someplace.
