After going through this link https://portal1.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/welcomeLink and creating an account and filling out the police clearance application online, my husband still can't get an interview. After I submitted the police clearance application online, it wouldn't allow me to get an interview from his passport office (which is Ghaziabad, which is in a different city several hours away though oversees his city's PCC/passports, etc). It told me on the site that there is no appointments available from Ghaziabad. So now the form is submitted, but since we can't get him an interview, we are stuck. :( He tried calling many of the phone numbers on that site (which were of the Delhi ministry's office but they didn't know what to do, as they say they have nothing to do with the Ghaziabad passport office). I previously made efforts to find the Ghaziabad passport office phone number online, but my husband previously called those numbers and no one picks up. So we are totally stuck on the PCC issue. :( Since there is not any phone number to call (it seems) and we can't do things online, it seems like my husband will just have to make the 4-5 hour one way journey to Ghaziabad to inquire about the PCC... and then will have to come back at a later date to actually get the appointment. But since he can only get a day off work about once ever 4-6 weeks, it looks like this will delay us another 2-3 months in the process for him to schedule and waste these 2 days to going out there for no reason (when it could all be done online). :( I'd be grateful for any advice, or if anyone has any (working) phone numbers related to PSK and how he can get an appointment without having to go to Ghaziabad.

This is the error message I get every time I try to create an appointment online: "Currently no appointment slots are available for the selected Passport Seva Kendra (PSK). Please try scheduling an appointment from 22/07/2012, 4:00 PM onwards."

The problem is that this same error message is shown each day I try to create an appointment online, meaning that no online appointments are generated for that PSK. Although it says that our application has been submitted online, I don't know where that application will go, since they won't give any appointments. So I don't think anyone is even looking at it. And there are no working phone numbers to call. :( I filled out a 'grievance' claim on the website, but got an automated response saying my complaint won't be even looked at until late August.

I had the same issue with the Banglore passport seva kendra. I had never got an appointment online for PCC. So I just went to the passport seva kendra banglore and told that I have an enquiry with the desk, so security guard told - Its ok to go inside without an online appointment for an enquiry. Then after going inside I told them at the desk that I am not getting appointment from 10 days and website have issues. They told me to show the printout of the online submitted application number. Then they asked me for address proof documents (for present address).I had went with all dpcuments ready. Then they issued me a fresh token number (appointment). Went inside and gone through finger prints and officer. My passport was issued under tatkal scheme before. SO I got my PCC on the same day and came out smiling :-)

Oh wow... this is very nice that you could do it the same day! If my husband could do this, he'd be very happy. What exact documents did you have to show? I just want to know what my husband needs to bring so that he can do it all in one day and not have to go back. Thanks!

Glad that its helping you :-)

Documents to submit:-

If your address in passport that is parmnent address is same as present address then :

-- Old passport in original with self-attested photocopy of its first two and last two pages including ECR/Non-ECR page and page of observation (if any) and the print out of online submitted PCC application.

If your parmanant address and present address are not same then:

-- 1. Old passport in original with self-attested photocopy of its first two and last two pages including ECR/Non-ECR page and page of observation (if any).

2. For present address proof either of 1 below:

* 1 Year bank statement showing the present address. All the statement pages should be bank sealed. A letter from the Bank manager that you are mantaining the account for __ years.

* Water Bill OR Electricity bill OR Election Commission Photo ID card OR Certificate from Employer of reputed companies on letter head.

Note: For more info goto this link, http://www.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/docAdvisor/pccPassport

In my case, the present address and parmanant address were different so, I have submitted 1 year bank statement sealed on all pages, a letter from the bank manager, 2 attested copies of first and last page of my passport, the print out of online submitted PCC application. Note: Dont change a single letter in your name, fathers name and mothers name while filling up the PCC online. Type same as passport.

I hope thats gonna help you :-)

BTW, I am not the only one to direct walkin to passport office without an appointment. There were 100s of people just like me :-)

Better to call PSK customer care about which office don't require appointment for PCC in that particular city.

When I had to get PCC in Chennai, there were 3 offices. Two offices would allow for PCC without appointment, and 1 office would allow for renew/apply passport without appointment.

I was able to get a appointment for Kolkata after trying for a few days. Trick was to use a fast internet connection, be already logged into the site on the same browser with multiple tabs at least a few minutes before the 4PM time when slots are released. Then wait till its at least 2 or 3 seconds after the 4PM time and quickly click and see if slots are available. When you see slot timings, dont waste time thinking about which one is desirable, just click on any (take something in the middle for a higher chance no one else does)

After doing this my browser was hanging on clicking on the slot time for awhile so using the second tab I refreshed the logged in page and hence showed that the appointment scheduled from the first tab is completed.

I would call 'PSK Customer Care' if I could. The problem is that all the phone numbers on the PSK website that my husband called lead to minister's office staff who seem to know nothing about PSK or scheduling appointments there. So we don't know who else to call that actually KNOWS what to do about this issue or who has the ability to help us. Hence the problem, as I had mentioned earlier that the numbers we've tried don't lead to any information.

By the way, I think it's only PSK Ghaziabad that my husband has the option of going to, not any other PSK (as the Ghaziabad office oversees his city's passports, which I mentioned above). So I don't think we can go anywhere else either, as far as I'm aware.

Have you tried scheduling at exactly 4PM? This only works at around that time.

Seems like he dialed the wrong number.

Try to call this number: 1800-258-1800

In Nov 2011, when I needed help, I called to this customer care 1800-258-1800, and they were pretty helpful.

We had this same problem with the Jaipur PSK, but we were able to contact them by phone and were told the same as Mr America, to log on at 4 pm when appointments are released. We did this, but the appointment we got was too far out so my fiance spent several days going back and forth to the PSK office instead.

It sounds like he might have to travel there if you are still unable to get an appointment by trying at 4 pm. Though I wouldn't expect him to get it all done in a day as everything seems to take several trips back to any agency (any agency) in India to get something accomplished.

Thanks everyone. Is this 4pm India time? Also, Iwaiting, is that 800 number you provided an Indian number or American phone number?

Edit: I assume that all of this would be India time, since this is an Indian website. I just wasn't sure if they'd recognize my browser from the US, or something like that. Also, it would make sense that the 800 number is an Indian number. It's just seems odd to me, as I've only ever heard 800 numbers being US numbers. Hence the questions.

Thank you all for your help. I woke up very early this morning, and I tried again to schedule the appointment at the Ghaziabad PSK.... and it WORKED!!!! So thank you al for that! There are no available appointments until August 6th, so I booked it, and told my husband... which he was happy for.

The only thing that troubles me is that last time I was on the site, I filed a grievance complaint against the Ghaziabad office as I thought they were not scheduling any appointments, which frustrated me. By some chance, it happens that the day that they will look at my complaint is August 6th, I believe. So I hope the Ghaziabad PSK won't be nasty to my husband when he goes in to get his PCC since I had filed a grievance against their office. I'm not sure if there is any way to revoke the grievance, as I'd remove that complaint if I could.
