I have a BlackBerry Torch. I like it. I haven't had any issues with it and have had it since I moved here. I prefer having a physical keyboard. However, if I had to get a new phone, I would get the Samsung Galaxy III.

I loathe Apple so I will never own an iPhone. I do enjoy my iPod because it can hold my entire music collection, but even that is a pain when I have to use iTunes to sync my music (haaaate iTunes).

I have an iPod that is 5th gen video 60GB so not only is it old, it's obsolete xD

I loathe Apple, but I have to admit that their products are top notch.

Phone-wise, I carry two - both are smartphones, one from HTC and one from Motorola.

Yeah I do prefer the keyboard on my Blackberry curve. I was looking at getting one with a slider keyboard but they didn't get the greatest reviews and I was worried the slider part would eventually wear out. I did get a stylus to use with my new phone so that should help some.

I was considering getting the iPhone but I like the bigger screen of the Samsung galaxy. I also didn't want to have to deal with iTunes etc..

it sucks though because the iPhone has a lot more accessories available for it ...

I have an iPhone 4 and I love everything about it - especially because it syncs seamlessly with my MacBook Pro.

I hate the clicky sound of Blackberry keyboards, plus I find them difficult to navigate... which is what pushed me in the iPhone direction initially.

The Torch is the one with the slider, which is what I have. I haven't had any problems with it, and I also was worried about the slider wearing out to be honest.

I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII and it is far superior to any phone I've tested. My reviewers rave over it, but dismiss the voice functionality......for example I needed to go to a Social Security Office, but didn't know where one was located.....I spoke "Social Security" into the phone, it gave me a choice of locations with the nearest on top.........clicked that and it loaded it into the navigator program and look me there turn by turn.

IMHO it makes the iPhone4 look like a useless plaything in comparison. You can go to XDA forums and learn how to get root/unlock...basically take control of YOUR phone. Upgrading to Jellybean is also available there. XDA is the VJ of everything cell phone related

Thanks for the info. I'll have to check out the forum. Have you installed Jelly Bean? All I've seen it on is the Google Nexus 7 tablet.

I have not yet installed JB, but am waiting for the CM10 version to be ready for prime time. I used to do a lot of ROM testing but refuse to risk my SIII to testing as it is currently my only cellphone. I keep abreast of the progress of CM10 and it should be ready fairly soon.....but again, I'm in no rush.

I rooted my SIII and the process was worry free and quite simple. AT&T gave me the unlock code, though don't expect you'll get one from them. Once CM10, or another good ROM is flawless, I'll definately be flashing JB to my phone

Why?

because it's too complicated to separate my personal phone line from the family plan it's on right now, and the other phone is a work phone.

I got my Samsung Fascinate last year. I LOVE it!! The battery on it is awesome. I just wish Telus would hurry up and make the updates available :(

Is it wrong that I think smarter people choose Android phones? Maybe!

In a recent independent poll conducted by me and my friend Bud Weiser, we found conclusive evidence that Android users have a much higher IQ than "other" cell phone users

not that difficult to conclude. "other" cell phone providers aim to dumb down their users xD
